PART 1: WHAT YOU KNOW: These are “before FS1” questions. These questions intend to focus your
attention to your prior knowledge about the PPST domains. This prior knowledge may come from your
personal dispositions, what you have learned from your professional education courses and major courses.

PART 2: WHAT YOU SEE: These are “during FS1” questions. These questions intend to focus your attention
to certain details leading to a better understanding of the intent of the PPST domain focus at hand. These
questions pertain to your observation of events or situations that are happening as you are conducting
your observation. Answer them according to your actual observations because this area will give you a
ground on what thoughts you will be expounding in your reflection.
1. The following are the instructional models, strategies and methods prescribed to be used by
DO 42 s. 2016 (Read it if you are not familiar with it). Point out the subject areas where your
Cooperating Teacher dominantly uses the different instructional models. On the third
column, state in a 5-sentence paragraph an observation you noted which confirms the use of
the instructional model.

2. The subject areas in the elementary are to be instructed to pupils with a prescribed medium of

using the Filipino language). However, there are times that the teacher needs to use other

purpose of making the pupils master a learning competency.

PART 3: WHAT YOU HEAR: This part requires an interview with some of the school’s stakeholders. The
interview should be set with them ahead of time. This should be attended by everybody in the group.
While the interview is done by group, documenting the response of the Cooperating Teacher as well as
answering this part is done individually. This part gives you a glimpse on how realistic the essence of the
PPST Domains is as proven by your Cooperating Teacher’s experiences.
N.B. This area requires you to schedule an interview with your Cooperating Teachers. Since there are
different teachers handling the different subject areas, you may interview different teachers for the
different questions. As such, it may appear that Teacher 1 was interviewed for Question 2; Teacher 2 was
interviewed for Question 1 and Teacher 3 was interviewed for Question 3. One teacher can also be
interviewed for all the questions. As such, you need to schedule a time for interview with your
Cooperating Teachers. Do the GROUP interview in their convenient time. Devise ways so that this can be
conducted efficiently. Length of your answers here depends upon the response of your Cooperating
Teacher, however, note that there are no 1-sentence answers. Elaborate if needed.

There are still problems in literacy (reading comprehension, writing, communication etc) and numeracy
(difficulties associated with numbers and computing) across the grade levels in the elementary.
