1. Why was 1930s - 1940s considered as the golden age of comic books?
 It is considered the golden age of comic books from the 1930s to the 1940s. During
this time, modern comic books were initially produced and swiftly rose in popularity.

2. How were comic books used before?

 Comic books were used to giveaway prenium to promote the sale of the whole range
of household products such as cereal and cleanser.

3. Why do you think comic books become so popular?

 I think comic books become do popular because they provide a great entertainment
value.The stories are typically rich in detail and give readers the chance to enter an
exciting world.This means that you will feel like you are really there,living through
emotions of the characters.Furthermores,comic books are often very humorous,giving
people a much-needed break from their daily routines.When you read one it is taking
your worries away,leaving you feeling relaxed and happy by the end of it.

4. Do Filipinos also enjoy reading comic books?

 Yes,Filipinos also enjoy reading comic books.According to an article comic books are a
mirror on Filipino folk life.An estimated 1.5 million comic magazines are printed each
week.Thus, “The comics are a powerful institution in Filipino life”,says Soledad Reyes
a literature professor at Manila’s Ateneo University.

5. How did the author arrange the information in the text?

 The author used chronological order in organizing the information in the text.
6. Does the said arrangement help you comprehend the text? Explain.
 Chronological order is an arrangement of events based on the time they occurred. It is
well organized in the order of events, which became my guide and helped me
understand the flow of the text.

the text.
