IntroductIon
t h e M a j o r P r o j ect P r o P o s a l Design and r hetor ic gave me t he f reed om to ex per iment w it h t y pography, tex t and lang uage. I d id many ex per iment s w it h word s and tex t . espec ial l y appeal ing , were t he ex per iment s w here I used v iny l l etter s and p ieced word s toget her t hat seemed to r i se u p f rom t he ground . It i s remark abl e t hat a w r itten word evokes so much emot ion and passion in it s composit ion. I soon b ecame interested in phonet ic t ranscr ipt ion and f rom t here my id ea arose to v i sual i ze t he d i screpanc y b et ween our w r itten and spoken lang uage.
