WEEK 1

Topic: Me and My Five Senses

Desired Outcomes

Content Focus/Learning Outcomes

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


 Recognize the parts of the body
 Understand the different uses of five senses
 Identify each sense
 Know how to care for our bodies
 Understand what makes a balanced diet
 Understand the importance of eating, drinking and having enough sleep and rest

 Value the importance of each body part


 Learn how to use and take care our body
 Learn how to love oneself

Activity (online synch session):

1. Play “Guess the parts of the body”

2. Show some movements using their different body parts

3. Watch video about different body parts

4. Individual activity: Students will identify whether the given object can be seen, felt, hear, taste and smell

Activity (face to face session):

1. Play “Simon Says”


 Students will follow the instruction as to what will “Simon” will command, for example “Simon says,
touch your arm”
2. Watch video about different body parts

3. Let the students bring different small items, then let them look, feel, smell, hear and taste (if possible).

4. Group Activity: Students will sort out the objects that they brought according to senses to be used.

WEEK 2

Topic: Caring for my Body (continuation)

Activity (online synch session):

1. Let the students share their routine before attending online class.

2. Show a video and let them follow the movements.

3. Show pictures then let them identify whether the picture shows taking good care of the body or not.

4. “Self-Care Plan Activity”


 Students will be given some pictures of body parts, then they will decide on how they will take good
care of them.

Activity (face to face session):

1. Let the students share their routines before going to school.

2. Play “Roll the dice”


 The teacher will roll two dice, one has numbers then the other one has different movements.
 Once the dice were rolled, the students should move depending on where the movement will fall and
how many times will they do it.

 Same with activity for online class.

WEEK 3

Topic: People and Animals

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


 Understand that people and animals need something for them to live
 Know that people and animals are living things
 Know that there are different types of animals

Value Focus/Student Outcomes

 To show love and care to all living things


 To show compassion to all living things

Activity (online synch session):

1. Watch a video about living and non-living things.

2. Give them 10 minutes to walk around their house, then let them recite on what are the living and non-
living things that they saw inside or outside of their house.
3. Identify whether the picture being shown is a living or non-living things, then give a reason on why do
they think that the particular object is considered living or non-living.

Activity (face to face session)

1. Watch a video about living and non-living things.

2. Let them walk around the campus and let them list down the living things and non-living things that they
saw during the walk.

3. Group activity:
 The students will now share to the class one living thing and one non-living thing that they listed down.

1. Let the students share some of their experiences with their pet animals (if they have)

2. Watch a video about the different habitats of animals.


3. Whiteboard activity: Identify where is the habitat of the animal being showed.

4. Let the students share some of their thoughts on how they can take good care of animals.

Activity (face to face session)

1. Let the students share some of their experiences with their pet animals.

2. Watch a video about the different habitats of animals.

3. Group Activity: Where is my habitat?


 Each student will be given one picture of an animal.
 The student will help the animal to find their habitat by placing them in the correct column on the board.

4. Let the students share some of their thoughts on how they can take good care of animals.

 Give gratitude on what plants can give to all living things
Activity (online synch session):

1. Watch a growing seed video.

2. “My mongo plant”


 Students need to prepare mongo seeds, cotton and plastic cup or transparent container
 Student will plant and observe their mongo seeds.
 Students will take a picture of their mongo seed/plant each day to see the difference and how do they
grow each day.
 Student will write one sentence to describe their observation for each day.

3. Share some thoughts on how they can take care of plants.

Activity (face to face session):


1. Nature Walk (around the campus)

2. Collect different types of leaves seen during the Nature Walk. Then differentiate the leaves that they got
during the discussion.

3. Watch a growing seed video.

4. “Let the onion grow”


 Students will bring an onion, stick, and plastic cup in school.
 They will plant and observe how do onions grow.
 After a week or two, the students will draw what are their observations of their growing onion.

5. Let the students share some thoughts on how they can take care of plants.

Week 6
Topic: Day and Night

Desired Outcomes

Content Focus/Learning Outcomes

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


 Recognize what we can see in the sky during the day.
 Recognize what we can see in the sky at night.
 Know the different activities that can be done during day and night on our own, with family and friends.

Value Focus/Student Outcomes

 Value the quality time that we can have with our family and friends.
 Show the importance of time.

Activity (online synch session):

1. Watch how day and night happens.

2. Whiteboard Activity: Draw the things they can see during day time and night time. Share to the class
what they drew.

3. Identify whether the activity (picture) can be done during day time or night time.
