About Future Generations Afghanistan:
Future Generations (FG) is the collective name for an international network of non-
governmental organizations including FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future
Generations University (FGU) and its alumni in 17 countries, academia, and individual’s
experts. The original charitable organization, Future Generations, was established in
1992 for the purpose of learning from, and building upon the world’s most successful
examples of community empowerment and social change. It is complemented by the
Future Generations Graduate School (Future Generations University) in 2006 in the State
of West Virginia with authorization to provide a Master's Degree in Applied Community
Change focus on Conservation and Peace building.  The Future Generations Afghanistan
(FGA) established in May 2002 and obtained its registration certificate from Ministry of
Economy, Government of Afghanistan in October 2005.  Since 2007, FGA has been
operational in Eastern Afghanistan, and successfully completed development and
humanitarian programs in Nangarhar, Laghman , Kunar,Nuristan,Logar, Herat and
Bamyan Provinces.

 
Job Description:
He/ She will work under direct supervision of the Team leader / Project Manager and
will coordinate and supervise the community and supporting the household selection,
providing project related training. The post holder will ensure that the project activity is
well understood and accepted by the target community that is developed through
proper community mobilization and that the neediest and eligible beneficiaries are
selected based on the project criteria. Responsible for community mobilizing, right-
holder selection, help community receive their commodities, house-to-house surveys,
control the crowd during the distribution, and filing of right-holder and project
documents. They will be contracted full time during the project life cycle and fully
dedicated to project quality implementation

 
Job Requirements:
 He / She will be required to undertake the mobilization of project beneficiaries, collect
profile survey, conduct awareness training to beneficiaries during the project
interventions; as well as provide day to day support and facilitate community meetings
and beneficiaries
 Identification and verification process with the male and female beneficiaries in target
districts.
 Beneficiaries' mobilization, informing them about date of receiving of the assistance,
distribution of assistance; and that could be for managing women and men beneficiaries.
 Collaborating with project manager to design community mobilization strategy
 Making sure that the right information reached the target beneficiaries about the
procedures of receiving inputs and other relevant materials and technical trainings, etc.
 Working directly with communities with close supervision profile survey questionnaire
during the implementation of the program, and preparation of project documents

 Plan and organize trainings to community members according to program operational


and training manual
 Overall responsible for the capacity development, trainings and awareness sessions
conduction, conflict resolution and liaison with other key stakeholders
 Facilitation a series of capacity development activities to enhance communities’ basic skills
in various aspect of the program
 Identify the training needs of the community institutions, and report to the supervisor and
trainer for arranging training programs in response to these needs
 Supporting project-relevant data collection in the project coverage area
 Working with other project staff to select project implementation sites and project
beneficiaries
 Providing on-time support and information sharing with project beneficiaries in any event
or time

 Plan activities on weekly, monthly and quarterly base and submit it to supervisor in a
regular manner
 To facilitate the community to plan and prioritize their development projects.

Qualification:

full knowledge of social work

Excellent spoken and written communication skills; Pashto and Dari languages essential,
English is credited.

Ability to work closely in team environment

Familiar with report writing and planning

Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites

Honest, proactive and well mannered
