It's said poetry is the best way to convey one's emotions.
Respected jury members,
Let me introduce you to something which you experience every day, yet don’t
recognize its presence.
Today, we’re going to recite a poem entitled Siblings.
S1 Uwais Amzar. Siblings.
S2 Anas Shahmi. People said it’s a mutual connection.

Duet. Related gene expression,

building blocks of family.
S2 Anas Shahmi. For the first time when I took you in my arms,
Your eyes had a gleam, asking for love to share.
A tiny miracle thing, laying closely to my chest.
Moment when I know that the deepest thing began.
I wonder if things will ever be the same as the once were.

S1 Uwais Amzar. He used to stay put, but now he’s underfoot.

Climbs the rock waterfalls and soars like a flashlight, thinking he’s the first.
Hearing he’s voice assures me that my position is shaken.
Self-destructive mechanism, anger and jealousy appear.

S2 Anas Shahmi. Do you know what I feel inside my heart?

Have you ever stolen your sibling’s significant other from them?
It brings me a mountain of grief, finally had to face the truth.
 Without warning, my parent has been stolen.
By a person who we call as sibling.

S1 Uwais Amzar. I mourn in my poems.

Words that I can’t express.
My fragile heart and my wild thoughts.
The scars from pain and suffer,
The memory that chased me till it hunts me down.

S2 Anas Shahmi. Days flew by watering the watchtower,

No more peek-a-boo or ride the Pony.
No more plotting itineraries, pain and jealousy.
No more coming home as to a death sentence.
We laughed often and loved much.
Filled the niche and accomplished task.

S1 Uwais Amzar. Sometimes, we had a silly fight, an impossible sight.

But our love never flickers, never abates.
Believe and protect.
Person who always being there.
The one who I thought I hate and irritated me the most.
Actually, the greatest treasure, beyond compare.
S2 Anas Shahmi. Day by day.
Your success has touched the sky,
By climbing the steps one by one.
Reducing dismal groan,
Harvest the seed to succeed.
It’s all about commitment and determinations.
My sun has become your moon,
Time and distance, tear us apart.

S1 Uwais Amzar. When things around are not going as planned,

 When the road trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
The first appearance deceives many,
Moment to miss when we were younger back then,
When it was us against the world.
With nobody would ever raise the question.

S2 Anas Shahmi. Now, everything changed.

There’s only distance, memories, and loneliness.
Tears fall down my cheek, with words I’ll never speak.
Heavier and heavier the rain starts to pour.
Can’t believe I cried for you, the sibling I used to hate.
For the first time in my life,
I realize, material things mean nothing,
All that matters is the well-being of the people in my life.
