The members of the Olimpia Battalion, in
On October 2, 1968, in order not to be detected, dressed as
Mexico City, a terrible
massacre occurred in
Tlatelolco, in the Plaza de las
Tres Culturas, causing the
death of more than 300

this battalion at the scene
of the events was initially
denied by the President of
Mexico, Gustavo Díaz Ordaz ,
alluding that it's function
was to guard the facilities
for the Olympic Games .

Minutes before 6 pm that day, the rally was

almost over when a helicopter began to fly
over the square. From it flares were fired,
this being the signal for the snipers of the
Olimpia Battalion to start opening fire on the
gathered people; students, mothers,
children, teachers, workers.
