GUIDELINE - Speaking Test - September 10 2022
Dear student,
Please read this guideline thoroughly as you will find important information about the final test. Not following the
instructions may result in the invalidation or cancellation of the test.
The following section of the Final Test will be administered virtually. Thus, you must have fast Internet access for the
day of the test.
SPEAKING TEST
To take the Final Speaking Test, you will need:
- a desktop or laptop computer, a camera, a microphone and a speaker, or a headset. In this case you need, to have
WhatsApp installed on your computer. If you don’t have it, you can download it from this webpage:
https://www.whatsapp.com/download
1. Open WhatsApp on your phone. Android: More options > WhatsApp Web.
2. Select the checkbox next to Keep me signed in on the QR screen on your computer or Portal to stay logged
in on your device.
- your browser, e.g. Google Chrome, should support Zoom or Google Meet. Please make sure they work correctly
before the test.
- if you decide to use a tablet or a cell-phone, you need to have Zoom and Google Meet installed before the test.
- the device you use must be on a desk or a table, and your hands must be free as you will have to take notes during
the test.
- you need to have your ID card or passport at hand. If you don’t have it, you will not be able to take the test.
Photocopies will not be accepted.
- you must be alone in a room with no one else entering during the test.
- you must be sitting in a standard chair; you can't sit or lie on a bed.
- your ears must remain visible throughout the test, not covered by hair, a hat or other items.
- you may take notes, so you might need a pen or pencil and a piece of paper. The examiner will tell you when you
may take notes.
- should not take too long to answer a question; otherwise, you will lose your turn.
FINAL SPEAKING TEST - ORGANIZATION
The Final Speaking Test will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
First, find your name in order to know who your examiner will be.
You have to send a WhatsApp message to your examiner five minutes before the time of your test. The
examiner will send you a link to join a virtual conference. In order to send the message, hit the contact
of your examiner. If you are working on a computer, you need to log in WhatsApp before hitting the link.
Model Message:
“Good afternoon teacher. My name is (full name). Could you please send me the link for me to take the
speaking test?”
You will have to show your ID to your examiner at the beginning of the test.
