In this paper, the thermal characteristics of aluminum conductor composite core (ACCC) are studied with

the example of ACCC315/40 conductor. The simulation software is used to simulate the relationship between
the temperature and the temperature of the conductor under the condition of ACCC, and the influence of the
wind speed on the surface temperature of the wire. The results show that with the increasing of numerical
operation line current, wire surface temperature will increase, when the environment temperature changes, the
temperature of wire will change the wind speed in the range of 0-1m/s, the wire surface temperature drop more
largely, as the wind speed increases, the wire surface temperature drops greatly. The research of this paper
provides the basis for the real-time monitoring of the conductor.

the conductor is the same, carrying capacity of ACCC is more The researching wire type chosen for this article is ACCC315/40,
valuable than that of ASCR. For line capacity expansion project, which is shown in Table 1.
ACCC is the best choice, which not only can not dismantle the

This paper chose ACCC315/40 wires, through the simulation For the simulation of ACCC315/40 years flow numerical,

and eddy current loss caused by steel wire material. So ACCC

is different from other wires in calculation, just considering the
effect of skin effect. Under the influence of the skin effect, it is
believed that the electric current is not passed in the wire core,
which is 0 .
When the temperature of the environment is 290 k, the heat rate
of 555 A, 720 A and 890 A are applied respectively, and the results
are shown in Table 2.
As you can see in Table 2, the higher the current of the wire,
the higher the temperature of the wire. Comparing with 300/40 Figure 2.  Copper connection diagram.

under the urface temperature of 353 k, ACCC’s current value is
greater than ASCR’s, therefore, the safety of ACCC is higher at
run time with higher heat resistance.
As shown in Figure 1, the curve of conductor’s temperature
changing with time in 632 A, what can be seen from the diagram
is along with the increase of the time, the conductor temperature
also will increase with a linear change. Therefore, the temperature
real-time monitoring of wire is necessary to prevent accidents due
to conductor surface overheating.
