What is a visual?

It is something you look at, such as a


picture, chart, or piece of film that is
used to illustrate something, and
which makes the content more
appealing or easier to understand.
What is a visual media?
Visual media are sources of
information in the form of visual
representations. These can be
abstractions, analogues, rough
illustrations or digital reproductions
of the objects.

1. NON-PROJECTED VISUAL MEDIA
- requires non-projection material or
electric power
a. Informational Graphics

a. Informational Graphics
- INFOGRAPHICS, visual representation of
information which conveys an otherwise intricate
source of data. These include graphs, charts, maps,
and other informative forms.
b. Cartoons
- sketch or drawing, usually humorous, as in a
newspaper or periodical, symbolizing,
caricaturing some action, subject, or person of
popular interest.
c. Photograph
- a picture made using a camera, in which an
image is focused onto film or other light-sensitive
material and then made visible and permanent
by chemical treatment, or stored digitally.

- a placard or bill posted or intended for posting
in a public place, as for advertising.
2. PROJECTED VISUAL MEDIA

by means of an overhead mirror.

- refers to the expression of ideas about some
matters while using visual aids such as visual
multimedia, television screens and web pages
