e) Shot blasting gun should be properly


secured with a rope to avoid slippage
from hand.
f) A fire extinguisher should be kept
handy.
g) Cupper blasting nozzles must be
equipped with a remote control (Dead
man control)switch that allows the
operator to control the abrasive
material at the nozzle.
h) Hose whip checks or hose coupling
safety locks or both are fitted to hose.
i) The surrounding area should be
covered proper clothing so that all
dust particles are to be enclosed inside
the booth.

are inspected ,tested and
maintained in accordance with the
manufactures instructions.
o) Only trained and experienced
persons are allowed to execute the
blasting job.
p) Put NO SMOKING signboard
nearby.
q) Provide fire fighting equipments.
r) Periodical medical checkup for
the persons working in blasting
operations.
