Note:-
1. Root Gap- 2 to 2.5mm
2. Root Face-1.5 to 2mm
3. Bevel angle 30° to 45° (according to the drawing and type of joint)
Flow process chart along with some additional important points are necessary to follow to produce good quality products:-

1. All Columns of PG’s welding should follow SAW process.


2. All Beams of PG’s welding should follow SAW process.
3. All Rafter of PG’s welding should follow SAW process.
4. All Crane Girders Top flange to Web joints, should follow SMAW/GMAW for Root welding and SAW for hot pass and
capping.
5. All splice butt joints should follow SMAW/GMAW for Root welding and SAW for hot pass and capping.
6. All Box columns joints should follow SMAW/GMAW for Root welding and SAW for hot pass and capping with flush
grinding.
7. All FPBW and FSPW joints should follow 100% UT.
8. All child parts welding can be proceed with GMAW/FCAW.
9. All procedures and welders should be qualified according to the WPS & PQR with reference to the AWS D 1.1-2020
