ORIN DAFIDI 90:1-17

[1]OLUWA, iwọ li o ti nṣe ibujoko wa lati irandiran.

(A Prayer of Moses the man of God.) Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

[2]Ki a to bí awọn òke nla, ati ki iwọ ki o to dá ilẹ on aiye, ani lati aiye-raiye, iwọ li Ọlọrun.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even
from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

[3]Iwọ sọ enia di ibajẹ; iwọ si wipe, Ẹ pada wá, ẹnyin ọmọ enia.

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

[4]Nitoripe igbati ẹgbẹrun ọdun ba kọja li oju rẹ, bi aná li o ri, ati bi igba iṣọ́ kan li oru.

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

[5]Iwọ kó wọn lọ bi ẹnipe ni ṣiṣan-omi; nwọn dabi orun; ni kutukutu nwọn dabi koriko ti o dagba soke.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which
groweth up.

[6]Ni Kutukutu o li àwọ lara, o si dàgba soke, li asalẹ a ké e lulẹ, o si rọ.

In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

[7]Nitori awa di egbé nipa ibinu rẹ, ati nipa ibinu rẹ ara kò rọ̀ wa.

For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

[8]Iwọ ti gbé ẹ̀ ṣẹ wa ka iwaju rẹ, ohun ìkọkọ wa mbẹ ninu imọlẹ iwaju rẹ.

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

[9]Nitori ọjọ wa gbogbo nyipo lọ ninu ibinu rẹ: awa nlo ọjọ wa bi alá ti a nrọ́.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

[10]Adọrin ọdun ni iye ọjọ ọdun wa; bi o si ṣepe nipa ti agbara, bi nwọn ba to ọgọrin ọdun, agbara wọn
lãla on ibinujẹ ni; nitori pe a kì o pẹ ke e kuro, awa a si fò lọ.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years,
yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

[11]Tali o mọ̀ agbara ibinu rẹ? gẹgẹ bi ẹ̀ ru rẹ, bẹ̃ni ibinu rẹ.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
[12]Bẹ̃ni ki iwọ ki o kọ́ wa lati ma ka iye ọjọ wa, ki awa ki o le fi ọkàn wa sipa ọgbọ́n.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

[13]Pada, Oluwa, yio ti pẹ to? yi ọkàn pada nitori awọn ọmọ-ọdọ rẹ.

Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

[14]Fi ãnu rẹ tẹ́ wa li ọrùn ni kutukutu; ki awa ki o le ma yọ̀ , ati ki inu wa ki o le ma dùn li ọjọ wa gbogbo.

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

[15]Mu inu wa dùn bi iye ọjọ ti iwọ pọ́n wa loju, ati iye ọdun ti awa ti nri buburu.

Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen
evil.

[16]Jẹ ki iṣẹ rẹ ki o hàn si awọn ọmọ-ọ̀ dọ rẹ, ati ogo rẹ si awọn ọmọ wọn.

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

[17]Jẹ ki ẹwà Oluwa Ọlọrun wa ki o wà lara wa: ki iwọ ki o si fi idi iṣẹ ọwọ wa mulẹ lara wa, bẹ̃ni iṣẹ ọwọ
wa ni ki iwọ ki o fi idi rẹ̀ mulẹ.

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
