SHORT STORY OF A LONG LIFE

I am Clarissa Rose Parcon Clarite but you can also call me “Ikay”, I
was born on January 15, 2003 at Koronadal City, South Cotabato. I am
currently living in Purok Villegas Barangay Zone III, City of Koronadal. We are
5 in the family and I have 2 siblings and I am the youngest and the only girl.
My mother's name is Rosalie P. Clarite and my father's name is Dennis G.
Clarite Sr. My brother’s name is Roden P. Clarite and Dennis P. Clarite Jr. We
are not that rich like other families but we are abundant with love and
happiness.

I took my elementary education at Mariano Villegas Elementary

School while my secondary education was in Bacongco National High School
and Maragusan National High School. I only spent my grade 7 days at BNHS
and then I transferred to MNHS to finish my Junior High School. I took my
Senior High School years at Bacongco National High School-Senior High
School and took up Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS). Now, I am
currently enrolled at Ramon MagsaysayMemorial Colleges-Marbel
Incorporated and I took the course Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in
English and I am currently a 3rd year student and I am hoping to finish my
studies by next year. A student’s life is not that easy, they are also difficulties
and challenges, we just need to enjoy and do our responsibility as a student.

I can describe myself as a simple lady who dream big and many. I am
an observant person, a respectful and kind hearted one. I am always looking
for a positive mind set and attitude albeit how hard our life is. I am a person
also who's into sporty thing. I am good at playing badminton, basketball,
volleyball, Frisbee, or anything that related to ball. I know also how to dance
and sing. I also like reading novels and wattpad. I also like watching k-drama
or any love story movies.

My life is not happy all the time, I also experienced failures, hardship,
sorrowful, disappointments and being alone. My life is really like a roller
coaster. I grew up without parents by my side, I don't have a support system,
motivational wordings, and someone who can say how proud they are to me,
but despite the fact of being like that I always choose to stand up and to
continue my life, because I believed in sayings that life is not life without
experiencing the difficulties of it, because that's makes us stronger of who
we are now and who we are in the future.

 "CASHIER"
There was an almost perfect lady who lived in an
abandoned house in one of the cities in North Korea. She's
called an "almost perfect lady" because she is beautiful in any
aspect of her body, aside from her two hands. Her hands are big
and long, not the same as normal people. Because of her unique
hands, no one tries to be friends with her. She is Trying to be
nice and kind to others, but still no one tries to be friends with
her, because they are scared with her. Because of her situation,
she always cried.
One day, while she is crying, her hands start aching so
badly. She starts rubbing it with the full force of her hand. While
she was rubbing it, something unexpected happened. A lot of
money came out of her palms, if she’s start rubbing it. She was
shocked and could not believe day her neighbors discovered her
secret.
When her neighbors find out, they begun making efforts to
be friend with her. The lady accepted the friendship offered by
her neighbors, and she also started giving money to them, but
she still knew her limitations. As time passed, their city became
abundant with money and they started to call the lady a
"CASHIER".

GENDER NEUTRAL
BATHROOM

God made his people with equality and humanity that include
their gender expression. We have freedom, freedom of expression
and freedom of choice to decide what we want and what we need.
But God only created two types of sex which is the male and female
but as time passed by many genders formed that serves for those
people who can’t figure out who really they are and where they are
really belong.
We used to have two bathrooms only which is for male and
female, but as LGBTQ+ formed, another bathroom was open for
debate and discussion. Some people want to have another bathroom
for LGBTQ+ members especially for the Trans woman and Trans
man and to those people who belong in that organization. On the
other hand, there are also people who against for constructing a new
bathroom that exclusive only for the LGBTQ+ members. But, in my
perspective I believed that we should create another bathroom for
the LGBTQ+ members
First, we should create another bathroom for the LGBTQ+
members to avoid discrimination and judgment. We are living in the
society where judgements always happen. By giving the restroom
that will feel them where they are really belong can avoid
discrimination and judgement. Second, creating them a restroom can
also build their confidence, they can be able to show who really they
are without fear and thinking about other people’s opinion. They
can be able to build their confidence because they feel belong and
accepted by the society. Lastly, to avoid confusion, questions and
privacy that will help people calm their own concerns around safety
in restrooms by reinforcing the fact that laws are already in place to
keep people safe.
In conclusion, there are many reasons why we should create
another restroom for the members of the LGBTQ+. We are all
human and we deserved to be respected and to be treated equally.
We must accept every individual whom they feel and think who
really they are. Acceptance and supporting them are the only things
that LGBTQ+ members need for them to show their true colors.
