Day Care Policy

Objective:
To facilitate working mothers with their childcare needs.

Eligibility:

• All working mothers or single fathers who are employees of Company.


• One child up to 4 years of age at a time will be facilitated per employee.

Entitlement:

• Internal day care facility: For children up to 1.5 years of age, subject to availability
of space
• Reimbursement & Allowances: Up to 18K monthly reimbursement for employees who
enroll their child in an external day care OR Up to 8K monthly allowance for
employees who choose to make nanny arrangements at home

Guidelines

Internal Day Care Facility


• FM department will assess the need and feasibility of day care facilities at our office
locations.
• Eligible employees need to share in-house daycare registration form with FM
department via email Company.daycare@Company.com.pk at least one month in
advance and registration will be on first come first served basis.
• The operating timings of internal facilities will be Monday through Friday from 9 am
to 6 pm.
• If your child has reached the age of 1.5 years, you will be required to vacate the slot
for other eligible employees and move to the allowance/reimbursement benefit,
which is till the age of 4 years.
• In case of excess space in the facility, FM department may continue to facilitate you
with a slot in the internal facility even if the age is between 1.5 years to 4 years.
Children of lower age groups will always be given preference.
• Employees who are required to vacate a day care slot will be given at least one
month notice, if not more.
• All the necessities related to the child will be provided by the employee e.g. milk,
food, pampers etc.
• In case of switching from nanny/external to internal facility, request needs to be sent
to FM department at least one month in advance by the employee. Such requests
would be subject to FM department approval and internal space availability. Moving
to or from nanny/external to internal facility is only allowed once in 6 months.
• If needed, a second child or child beyond 4 years of age may be accommodated in
the day care facility subject to FM department approval, availability of space and a
monthly deduction of 15K. Such requests need to be sent at least one month in
advance by the employee.

Reimbursement and allowances


• Reimbursement/allowance can be claimed as per entitlement in case of unavailability
of slot in the day care facility or based on the employees’ own preference.

• Monthly reimbursement of external daycare services can only be claimed by
attaching a valid document/payment receipt through defined expense claim
procedure. The amount

• reimbursed will be as per the receipt, capped at 18K per month.
• • Employees choose to make nanny arrangements may provide a separate
undertaking to FM and will receive the allowance. There are no receipts required in this
case.
• • Tax treatment will be as per prevailing tax laws.
