“Maka-Diyos Reaction Paper”

Being “Maka-Diyos” is all about respect, worship and praise to our Almighty God. It is a very

valuable tradition since the first mass in the Philippines happened in 1521. In that video set during

Christmas Day, the father writes a letter about his experiences with his mother, son, and daughter

together with his wish that they should be kind, courageous and most importantly, being Godly to fulfill

their unconditional love and happiness and to protect them from any possible danger. The father said

that “Don’t doubt but believe in faith because God is perfect.” The father’s quote means that God is one

of the most powerful beings in the entire world that watches us in our human actions and miraculously

solves many problems. This video concludes that if we love and praise our God, He will save and heal

us from different problems in our personal lives. Please remind us that despite all of our miserable

mistakes and problems, God loves us so much. He also guides us to the right direction of our lives and

he fulfills our dreams that no one could ever expect. To sum up very well, our God has omniscience

that is defined as all-knowing, omnipotence that is defined as all-powerful, and omnibenevolence that

is defined as supremely good.
