Good afternoon everyone in the class. Today our group will have a presentation.
Our group has a total of twelve people. She and I are the speakers. She is Quyen, and
I'm Nhi. The topic of this presentation is the things that lots of people care about today.
It's music. All information about the following presentation is most done and written by
my team. Hope you will understand more about it.

So what is music? Our presentation today will explain this. We have all three parts.

At the beginning of the presentation, I will briefly talk about music. Music is
considered an art that uses sound to express the feeling of the singer and listener. In the
world, music is very popular, but the music of each country will have its timbre, and our
country's music also has its tone and nuances. Vietnamese music has diverged into two
main types: traditional music and modern music:

Part one is an introduction to traditional music

Traditional Vietnamese music is the music of Vietnamese ethnic groups. It includes

many genres such as folk music, court music, theater, and chamber music.

In the genre of folk songs, there are subjects such as Quan ho, ho, ly,... Especially
Quan ho. Quan ho are folk songs of the Northern Delta region, mainly in the Kinh Bac
region (in present-day Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces). It is a form of reciprocal
singing between men and women to express their feelings and praise love through
simple and loving verses. Most of the Quan ho songs follow the hexagonal or hexagonal
variations. And most of all, on September 30, 2009, the Quan Ho folk song was officially
recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity,
marking a turning point in the cultural value of this land.

Hue royal court music is a genre of court music of the feudal period, performed on
important occasions during the Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam. In 2003, Hue royal court
music was recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Humanity.
Nha Nhac is a musical genre with a tight structure between the following fields: The
completeness of the orchestra structure, the system of instrumental songs, the
accompaniment for the dance and singing, and the songs in the orchestra, kinds of
dances with singing, songs sung in the form of the ceremony. Hue royal court music
needs to be preserved, inherited, and promoted as it is an invaluable asset to our
Vietnamese people.

Part two is about modern music

Contemporary music is the current music, contemporary music, any music written

today, can be in many different music genres. Divided into main groups: pop, rock, jazz,
blues, hip hop, country music, contemporary folk, electronic music, dance music, etc.
Nowadays, pop music, electronic music, and hip hop music are the genres of young
people around the globe, such as pop music, K-Pop, J-Pop, V-Pop, C-Pop, etc.
Electronic music with EDM, floor music,... And hip hops music with Rap Rock, Rapcore,
etc. Especially pop music, a very diverse music line of classification, lightness or vibrant
is in pop music and depending on the song, pop music is very popular in the world. The
most common are K-Pop with favorite groups of the world such as BTS, BlackPink, or
Bigbang,... The instrument of contemporary music is quite diverse depending on the
genre of music. Famous instruments such as piano, organ, drum, violin, guitar, music
sequence, synthesis,

Part three is the benefits and harms of music

Music is art, but it has advantages and disadvantages. Many studies have shown
that the benefit of listening to music is to help the brain release dopamine, the
neurotransmitter that makes you happy. In addition, one study found that people who
had a habit of listening to classical music 45 minutes before bed slept better than those
who listened to audiobooks or did not listen at all. The disadvantage is that if we listen to
music with headphones with loud sounds for a long time, it can cause hearing loss,
especially rock music can affect health because it causes the heart to beat faster and
the brain to not rest. And there are many more benefits that people can find out online.
