Course Objective:

To improve students' proficiency in English by focusing on the use of English grammar,


some reading comprehension skills and some listening skills. The purpose is to help
students achieve better understanding of English so they could use it more effectively in
their study (specially their academic study) or their careers.

Longman Preparation Course for the TOEFL test (the paper test) by Deborah
Phillips.

Grading Plan:
Attendance and Participation: (not included in the grading system) Students must be
careful about their attendance since they are only allowed to get absent for only 10% of the
total number of their classes without an excuse or they won't be allowed to continue in the
course.
Quizzes 20%
Mid- term exam: 30% (TBA)
Final Exam: 50% (TBA)
