Title: “Standard Test Construction with Table of Specifications through “WRITEs-

Writing Readiness on Improving Test Examinations” for MAPEH”

Rationale:

Designing tests is an important part of assessing students understanding of lesson or

content and their level of competency in applying what they are learning. Whether you use
low-stakes and frequent evaluations–quizzes–or high-stakes and infrequent evaluations–
periodical or quarterly test and even performance tests–careful design will help provide more
calibrated results.

The reason for giving a test will help us determine features such as length, format,
level of detail required in answers, and the time frame for returning results to the students.

With this Learning Action Cell (LAC) on “WRITES – Writing Readiness on

Improving Test Examinations”, teachers will ensure alignment between the items or
elements of an assessment and the content, skills, or constructs that the assessment
intends to assess. The validity of an assessment tool is the extent by which it measures what
it was designed to measure.

Objectives:

This activity aims to:

o To enhance the capability of teachers in teaching MAPEH on content and

assessment;
o Guide teachers in linking teaching-learning and MELC-based assessment.
o To help teachers equip in constructing quality assessment.
o To craft and develop standard – compliant test items

METHODOLOGY:

1. PARTICIPANTS
Eight (8) MAPEH teachers of Llorente National High School are the
participants of this one-day LAC session.

2. VENUE AND SCHEDULE

The WRITEs – Writing Readiness on Improving Test Examinations LAC
session for MAPEH is scheduled on September 2, 2022 at SPA Media Arts, Llorente
National High School, Llorente Eastern Samar.

3. RESOURCE PERSON
The Department Coordinator Eugenio C. Dialino Jr, a Master Teacher-I is the
session facilitator/resource person of the said activity.

4. REQUIREMENT AND SOURCE OF FUNDS

No registration fee will be collected from the participants. However, all expenses
that will incur in the conduct of the seminar-workshop shall be charged to the schools
MOOE subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

5. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
The participants of one-day LAC are expected to gain knowledge to enhance
the capability of teachers in teaching MAPEH on content and assessment;
