INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Problem
Canteen is a supporting facility that has quite an important influence in activities at school or
campus. The existence of a canteen in campus is something that is needed, especially by
students. Many students don't have time to eat at home, they eat at campus. Students also relax a
lot in the canteen just to fill their free time between study hours while enjoying food and drinks
in the canteen.

So it cannot be denied during recess that many students want to eat and drink in the cafeteria
simultaneously. Students who come to the canteen early get a seat while students who come later
do not get a seat because of the lack of supplies of canteen chairs and tables, this causes students
to feel uncomfortable. In fact, students' comfort when eating in the canteen is very necessary.

1.3 The Purpose of Writing

The purpose of writing a paper containing "Canteen" in the environment around the
Malang State Polytechnic campus is to fulfill the task of Marketing Management about
Observation Texts. And also to find out what exactly the meaning of a "canteen" for the
citizens of Malang State Polytechnic and what needs to be improved so that the State
Polytechnic Malang canteen feels comfortable.

1.4 The Benefits of Writing

This paper may be useful so that readers realize that the canteen is very useful. Therefore,
the cleanliness of the canteen must be maintained. By making this paper, my group realized
the importance of the canteen

4.1 Conclusion
Canteen is a place where we can fill our free time by buying and enjoying food together
with our friends. In the canteen we can also gather while discussing the problems we have. All
Students in Malang State Polytechnic want a canteen that is clean, cool, spacious, and with
healthy food. However, in Malang State Polytechnic canteen, it is far different from what the
students expected, because of inadequate facilities, lack of clean environment in the canteen, and
the types of food sold in the canteen are still not good for health because only a few types of food
are does not contain coloring, flavoring, flavoring, and preservatives.
