Types Of The Socks With Respect To Layout

Noshow Socks
This is a type of anklet socks, can not be shown from the shoes. So
that is why this type of socks is called noshow socks. These are
covered by a shoe for a "no socks" look. They are popular in hot
weather.

Footie Socks
The socks that do not extend above the ankle bone are known as
footie socks. Footie socks also called slipper socks. These are
manufactured with different fibers and having different weights.
They are popular in hot weather and are sometimes embellished
with stripes or logos. They wear best with athletic & casual shoes.
 Lowcut Socks
Socks that extend above the ankle bone but remains below the calf
and having a long welt are called lowcut socks. These socks also
belong to ankle socks family. This kind of lowcut socks is also called
quarter socks by some customers and manufacturers.

Quarter Socks
Socks that extend above the ankle bone and cover the one third
part of the calf. Socks with quarter rib are called quarter socks.
Sometimes ankle socks designed with long welt about 4 to 5 cm
are also called quarter socks (as shown in lowcut socks picture).
These socks cover the foot up to the ankle and wear best with
athletic & casual shoes.
 Crew Socks
Socks reaching to the mid-calf are called crew socks. This is the
one of the most popular style available in wide ranges of colors and
patterns. Usually socks with full length rib are considered as crew
socks. Crew socks are used by children, men and women with
respect to sizes.

OTC Socks
OTC means over the calf socks. Socks reaching to the knee or
extend the knee are called OTC socks. All knee high socks are
called OTC socks. This type of socks is popular with skirts and
shorts in cold weather. If a cable design is made in knee high socks
then it is called cable knee high socks.
 Cable Knee High Socks
Cable stitch means a knit fabric stitch that produces a design that
looks like a heavy cord (common in sweaters and hosiery). If this
cable is designed in socks then these socks are called cable knee
high socks. Fashion socks to be worn with skirts and shorts, usually
in colder weather. A Variety of textures and patterns are made in
these socks to coordinate with outfits and uniforms. Ladies mostly
use this type of socks.

Tube Socks
These socks are straight like a tube shape and manufactured
without knit in heel and toe. Rib is also necessary part of the tube
socks like crew socks. Tube socks are used as men's, women's,
girl's and boy's spectator athletic socks. If some stripes are being
made in tube socks, then toe is made in tube socks to identify the
sewing point for stitching.
 Cuffed Bobby Socks
Heavy cuffed anklet socks designed especially for the girls are
called bobby socks. These socks are worn year-round, especially
with shorts and dresses. Cuff is often decorated with lace and/or
appliqués. Long rib is made in these socks and folded on itself to
made cuff. That is why these are called cuffed bobby socks.
