About Office of Chief Adviser To The President On Agriculture And


Development :
This office is responsible for formulating the overall strategic goals for economic development of
Afghanistan and will accomplish following objectives through three work streams:
To coordinate policy-making for domestic agriculture and development issues, advisory to the president
on agriculture and development policies, ensure that policy decisions are consistent with the president’s
vision in agriculture and development and monitor the implementation of agriculture and development
policies and agendas of the H.E President.

Job Description:
Main responsibility of Agriculture Assistant Expert is to support the work of ADA office senior’s staff. He is
responsible for providing great assistance to implement amazing ideas and techniques which can help in
improving agriculture production rate of particular areas in Afghanistan. Thus, he need to provide best
agriculture knowledge training programs for farmers of Afghanistan in remote areas for the purpose of
enabling them to solve their agriculture problems and issues.

Job Requirements:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Be able to Communicate with researchers, educators, government departments


 Measuring, analyzing and interpreting data.
 Able to conducting land valuations.
 Able to advising on compliance with current legislation and use of governmental to the
relevant ministries.
 Be able to work collaboratively with other engineers on providing agriculture science
recommendations.
 Have knowledge on best practices regarding the use of greenhouse technology and doing
agriculture under the controlled environment in order to improve the quality and quantity of
their production.
 Having ability to provide guidance on how to address any issues that may limit productivity.
 Analyze the current situation of vegetable production in the country and recommend different
vegetable varieties to be grown in the greenhouses or open field areas.
 Ability to analyze the current situation of agriculture and present the solutions for current
obstacles of agriculture section in the country.
 Contribute toward development of design for Agriculture Development Value Chain.
 Analyze the validate research data, information, reports, and agriculture assessments of the
districts and provinces.
 Ability to provide proposals on facilitating the governmental land renting procedure for the
private sector’s entrepreneurs.
 Be able to map soil, engage in yield modeling, and plant breeding.
 Conduct research and experiments to improve the quantity and quality of field crops and
farm animals, livestock and horticulture.
 Have a plan for Green belt and survive of jungle.
 Attract investment for agriculture in rent of government land.
 Able to make technical presentations regarding agricultural new technologies. 
 Be able to prepare technical reports to the chief Adviser.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related fileds.


 Knowledge of data collection and data analyse.
 Able to write and prepare technical reports, presentation and proposal related to ADA
Agriculture projects.
 Works well both independently with minimal management direction and with team.
 Master degree in Livestock, Horticulture, Agriculture or other related fields.
 Related master degree female candidates will be preferred.
 Fluent English language & high familiarity with computer and national languages is required .

About Office of chief adviser to the president on agriculture and


development :
This office is responsible for formulating the overall strategic goals for the economic development of

on agriculture and development policies, ensure that policy decisions are consistent with the president’s

Job Description:
 Coordinate agricultural projects with MAIL and other involved parties in the country.
 Review, analyze, and prioritize all agriculture, water and development projects in Afghanistan
for the purpose of coordination with implementer entities.
 Analyze feedbacks of involved people; aim to have good coordination between ADA and
other parties.
 Be able to perform the cost and benefit analysis for ongoing and upcoming agriculture
projects.
 Be able to conduct disk research and analyzing data for projects.
 Work collaboratively with MAIL staff/researchers and MAIL projects to enhance the projects
activities and create a comprehensive coordination between ADA and other entities of
government.
 Coordinates project activities and perform research, evaluation and analysis of operational
issues that primarily involve interaction with other entities and/or government.
 Forward planning and making decisions through office policy.
 Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records.
 Supervise the paperwork and administrative records of ADA office.
 Develop recommendations on economic, development, agriculture, water, and other projects
of ADA office for the purpose of achieving valuable results.
 Coordinate implementation of agriculture projects and integrate plans in cooperation with
MAIL and other involved entities in Afghanistan.
 Assess availability of resources, determine cost-effectiveness, analyze, and justify budgets
of projects.
 Review or evaluate designs for water and agriculture projects such as facilities, flood control
facilities, or other hydraulic structures.
 Work with agricultural institutions, MAIL and other involved parties to strategically establish
demonstrations and communicate the benefits of new agricultural technologies, practices,
and systems for agriculture and try to convince and educate farmers for implementation of
these technologies.
 Transfer new agricultural production’s increasing technologies such as land laser
leveling/pest management practices and irrigation modern ways to farmers for the target
crops in villages of Afghanistan.
 Be able to Transfer modern technologies to the appropriate entities and farmers through
training and educating, to cultivate high-value crops in farms like: focus crops, high‐
nutritional‐value crops, and cash crops.
 Prepare data summaries, reports, or analyses that include results, charts, or graphs to
document research findings and results.

Able to write technical reports, presentation and proposal related to Agriculture.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Livestock and Horticulture, Agriculture and other related fields.
Related master degree candidates will be preferred.
Fluent English language required & high familiarity with computer and national languages.
