III. Reading of the Minutes from the Previous Meeting:

The Division Sports Officer, Mr. Francis Ramirez announce the calendar of activities for
school year 2022- 2023.

August Our first meeting should start last August but because of time
constriction, it was moved today, Sept. 23, 2022.

Intramurals
- School head will approve or not the school intramurals.
- Include activities that has something to do with the academic. For instance,
Folk Dance Competition & Larong Pinoy (Aral. Pan/ PE), Beauty Pageant &
Booths (TLE), Sports (PE) and among others.
- For sports only include those sports that existed in your school.

IV. Matters Arising from the Minutes of the Previous Meeting


Implementation of Intramurals by School Head decision. if SH will allow, make
activity design and only SH will sign.

V. Business Proper
1. Clustered Conference on the conduct of the 2023 Palarong Pambansa
a. Luzon- NCR - Oct. 18-21, 2022
b. Visayas- Cebu City - Nov. 8-11, 2022
c. Mindanao - Davao City - Nov. 15- 18, 2022
* Attendees are the Regional Sports Officers
2. July 2023- Proposed conduct of the Palarong Pambansa.
a. Qualifying meets shall be conducted before the proceeding to
Palarong Pambansa to reduce the number of Technical Officials.
b. Palarong Pambansa is a Co- Curricular Activity (D. O. 19, s.
2019).
c. Regional Meet should be organized.
d. Sports Event to be contested :15- Elementary, 25- Secondary,
No Demo Sports.
e. Focus more on mandatory sports: Athletics, Arnis, Chess,
Dancesports, Speak Takraw & Swimming.
f. Focus on specialized sports, no need to participate in all sports
event.
3. SSEED Programs
SPORTS SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT ENHANCEMENT
DISTRIBUTION (SSEED) PROGRAM AT THE SCHOOLS
DIVISION OFFICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022
The Sports Supplies and Equipment Enhancement
Distribution (SSEED) is a support program to CSSP and Sport Club
Implementation in strengthening sports at school level It shall provide
standard sports supplies, sports materials and sports equipment to
every qualified recipient school that will be used in their Sports Clubs
and Physical Education (PE) classes It will promote and intensify
students’ participation knowing sports essentials are ready and
accessible

Selection & Prioritization of Recipient Schools


1. The Schools Division Office shall constitute a committee on the
selection and prioritization of deserving public elementary
schools and public secondary schools of the program support
2. The Committee shall be composed of a Committee Head
(Division Sports Officer or duly designated coordinator/officer by
the SDS) and two 2 members to be identified by the Committee
Head.
3. The Committee shall identify a minimum of 3 elementary and 2
secondary recipient schools for City Division while a minimum of
4 elementary and 3 secondary recipient schools for Province
Division which are qualified to the given criteria.
4. In addition to the criteria set for qualified recipients, the
Committee shall give priority to schools offering at least 3 out of
six Mandatory Sports Arnis Athletics, Chess, Dancesport,
Sepaktakraw and Swimming) and at the same time, offering other
sports preferred by their Schools.
5. The Committee may determine additional criteria for the selection
of recipient schools if necessary.

VI. Other Matters
1. District PESS Coordinators will choose schools who are eligible to avail the SSEED
Program. If District PESS Coordinators cannot choose a school, then Division Sports
Officer will choose. Deadline Friday October 14, 2022.
