activity.

The students are able to demonstrate composure in handling conflict situations in the
activity.

Students are able to show sensitivity and respect during conflicting situations in the
activity.

I OBJECTIVES:

1. Students are able to identify the hip-hop dance and its dance styles.
2. The students are able to demonstrate the hip-hop dance styles.
3. Students are able to show camaraderie, understanding and other essential values in doing
the activity.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

TOPIC: HIP HOP (Different dance style)


MATERIALS: Laptop, Speaker and Hip hop videos
RESOURCES: Physical Education and Health (Grade 10) Learner’s Material First Edition

III. PROCEDURES:

A. Preliminary Activities:

o Classroom Management

o Checking of attendance

B. Review of Past Lesson:
o Ask the students about their previous lesson. (Process student’s response for 1
minute)
C. Motivation Activity:
Motivation Activity “Jumbled Letters”
1. Group the class into 4.
2. Let them choose their leader.
3. The leaders should pick 1 card in which the teacher will provide.
4. On their group let them arrange the jumbled letters to form the correct word associated to
its given meaning.

a. CITENERGI– showing a lot of energy ( energetic)


b. MENTOVEM- the act of moving from one place or position to another (movement)
c. ENTHUMSIAS- strong excitement about something ( enthusiasm)
d. OORNDICATOI- the ability to move different parts (coordination)
of your body together well or easily

D. Lesson Proper

1. Introduction of the lesson


2. Presentation of the learning objectives
3. Discussion of group activity (The teacher has to design appropriate rubrics and
discuss it with the students or ask the students to create rubrics)
4. Present the objective of the lesson to the students.
5. Discussion of the design group activity/lesson
A. This time, the teacher will show videos of the different hip-hop dance styles.

B. Group activity
a. The students will be asked to go to their respective groups and find a
comfortable place.
b. The students will stand up and follow the dance steps on the video.
C. Activity Design/Mechanics
“ Hop the Hip”
1. Each group will be asked to demonstrate the hip-hop dance styles.
2. Each group will be given 15 minutes to practice and 3 minutes to perform.
3. They will be assessed with the following criteria:

Creative Dance Sequence – (10pts)

Dance Positions/Steps and Directions (10pts)
Total (30pts)

Each group will be provided with materials to bullet their explanations with.
They will be given 5 minutes to answer the guide questions and 2 minutes to report. The
group are free to choose who will report.
