What we sow, is what we reap

By Romal Rey R. Culla

What lies ahead of us is always a mystery. We tend to

wonder what waits from afar or in the coming days to come. It is
always a challenge for us to unleash what’s beyond the line. To
do so, we should be equipped with gears to battle the hindrances
we might encounter. It will take lots of effort to have satisfying and
better future to achieve
Future will always be a summation of the past and present.
It’s a result of what happened in the previous times of what is
presently taking place for all of these will greatly contribute to
whatever the future can bring, may it be success or even with
some trace of failure.
What is about to happen is always incorporated with
excitement for it comes in surprise that even most people fear of.
Fear not what future could deliver, instead, be ready for the
possible changes future could make to us.

Hinatuan gains access to free WiFi
By Mirafe O. Simulao
It can’t be denied that now we are in a modern and digital
age. Almost everyone today has their own smartphones and other
gadgets that are used in our daily lives and it has been a part in
our way of life nowadays. Using them makes our work and
studies much easier especially during this pandemic that we are
experiencing up until now wherein most of the transactions now
are being conducted online. That’s where the demand and need
for the use of the internet kicks in because one cannot conduct
any business or do anything online without internet access. There
is no shortage for its access save only when you are in the area in
which the signal is not strong enough or it can’t reach you. But
using it daily isn’t cheap either especially for students who are in
need for it due to their online classes, modules, projects, and
researches. Now the problem is that we are now in a difficult
situation wherein the parents have less source of income because
of the pandemic therefore they can barely afford and can’t sustain
to pay for the electronic load or the computer shop’s fee needed
for the internet access. Lucky for us Hinatuanons, through the
effort of our beloved mayor Hon. Shem “Titing” G. Garay with the
rest of his council they initiated a free internet access project
which can be availed at the Hinatuan Public Plaza that is situated
at Brgy. Aquino and it came into realization on the 9 th of
November 2020. Now everyone can have a free access to the
internet to continue with their transactions online without the
burden of its expenses and solves the Parents problem of
sustaining their children’s expensive education nowadays. Thanks
to their bright idea and initiative, they have helped a lot of
hinatuanons with their project. A big salute to our beloved
municipal mayor and his brilliant council for their efforts in making
our life much lighter especially for us students despite in this
heavy pressing times.

NO UNIFORM
NO ID
NO ENTRY
By Mirafe Simulao

Guard: “Ops! Balikdiri, asa ang ID? “, “Nganung wala ka nag uniform?”
These are the usual lines students hear as they enter the gate of
HSC. These are the lines which stop them from their tracks or run from the
man in the uniform by the gate. Viola! Instant runners! If soldiers have their
NO GUTS NO GLORY thing, so does our school guards with their NO
ID/UNIFORM, NO ENTRY. Just like the soldiers, the guards stand on their
grounds to keep their battle against hard-headed students like you and me.
It is written on the student’s handbook in the HSC Code of Conduct
that all students are required to wear their prescribed school uniform and
ID, and that no student is allowed to enter the campus without wearing the
latter that serve as their identity. However, there is no exemption to those
students with valid reasons approved by the College President.
Although some students in other schools are miffed by this policy, a
large percentage of the student population would say that they take pride in
wearing their uniforms- a proof that they belong to a prestigious school.
Plus, the fact that the uniforms would tell as to what specific course a
student is currently pursuing. According to one of the students of HSC, she
agrees with the policy because it reflects how disciplined a student is, in
terms of following rules and regulations set forth by the school.
Wearing ID and Uniforms entails the Discipline, Security and Identity
of an individual. Discipline on how they follow rules and how consistent the
school is implementing its policies. Identity because it tells the kind of
students and the school they belong. Lastly, security because it assures
the parents of a safe environment the student belongs.
Our guards are just doing their part. They are not to blame for the
policy and how rigorous they are in rules. Running away from them or
getting pissed is not a solution. Smile and you may get pass them but more
importantly, wear your school uniforms and IDs.

noises on the streets. After the parade was cutting of ribbons at the public
plaza, it is the signal that the celebration for the town of fiesta begins.
As the program starts you can see the excitement in everyone’s eye.
When Hon. Shem G. Garay the municipal mayor delivered his message,
the ears of the spectators focused on him. after that you could witnessed
the presentation of the government employee together with the teachers of
different schools in elementary, secondary and tertiary.
The program in charge of the said event was Arlyn B. Bandoy. The

REJECTED FAMILY

Ludilyn Q. Sarsua By Ludilyn Q. Ssrsua

I love you
You hated me
I needed you It’s sometimes hard to put in
words,
You neglected me
Just what I’d like to say
I cried
But always know you’re
You laughed
thought of
I came to you
In a very special way.
You ran away
Though the distance in
When you needed me between us,
I was there to stay Keeps us miles apart.
But when I needed you There’ll always be a special
You left me in pain place,

How cruel was I? For you within my heart.

For you to treat me this way

Though you’ve given me
much pain
Enough for me to hate you
Still
I choose to remain loving
you….
