I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the sixty minute period, the students should be able to;

A. PRE-LESSON PRESENTATION
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Energizer ( Zumba Dance)
4. Motivation
-teacher shows two different videos and asks students some
questions. (Science, Araling Panlipunan Integration)
-teacher let the students answer the “Let’s Get Familiar” activity
(counting of numbers-Mathematics Integration)
B. LESSON PROPER
- The teacher introduces to the students what is genre and its
different types.
- The teacher shows different viewing materials (movie clip, trailer,
news flash, internet-based program, documentary, video, etc.)
and they will identify what genre of viewing does each video clip
falls under. (Activity)
C. APPLICATION
-the students will be divided into three groups, each group will
receive a tablet and will play the game called “Battle of the Brains”.
The teacher shows different video clips in every tablet. Each group
identifies the genre of each clip. They will write their answer on a
sheet of paper together with the follow up questions flashed on
screen. The group with more points earned will be declared as the
winner of the game.
D. GENERALIZATION
-Ask students to organize the information based from the material
viewed and let them give its importance relating real life situations.

- the students will write the genres of a materials they will view at home and share
to the class.
