My Resume My Experience My Work

I am Joan Labrador Alfaras, I was born on August 19, 1990 at

Ombao, Bula, Camarines Sur, Philippines. We are three siblings in the
family. I am the youngest child. My mother’s name is Helen Galicia
Labrador ,and my father’s name is Eliseo Bermal Labrador, they are
both from Bula, Camarines Sur. I took my elementary education as
well as my secondary education at Ombao Polpog Elementary School
and Ombao High School respectively , located at Ombao, Bula, Cama-
rines Sur. I had a happy childhood living with my parents and my
siblings.
My hobbies are reading books, biking, watching movies and also cross stitching. I also
spend my free time hanging out with my friends. My dream was to become a Teacher. I
was able to pass the entrance examination at Central Bicol State University of Agricul-
ture way back 2007 and I had my first year as Education student and from that time I con-
tinued my studies and graduated in the year 2011 with a Bachelor of Secondary Educa-
tion, Major in Biological Science.

After graduation, I had my self review and took the exam for Civil Service Professional
Level, wherein I was able to pass the exam. By the year 2011, together with my college
friends we went to Legaspi to took our board exam for teaching. While waiting for the
result of the board exam, I worked as a volunteer teacher at my Alma Mater, Ombao
High School.

My interpersonal skills and teaching skills were developed during my stay at Ombao
High School. After I passed the Board Exam for Teachers, by the year 2011, I worked as a
permanent teacher employed at the same school.

Last year, I was also appointed as the Officer-In-Charge in

our school after the retirement of our School Head . Now, I am the
Faculty President and happily serving my Alma Mater.
Last June 2015, I was married to Sgt. Archie D. Alfaras and we feel so blessed to have
our two sons in our lives that bring us joy and happiness everyday. My husband is my
best friend , my greatest support, my biggest comfort and my strongest motivation espe-
cially in pursuing my graduate studies. He supports me in anything I want to do.

I am ambitious, self-made, work alcoholic but down

to earth person. I like to balance professional and family
time. Professional life gives me exposure, confidence and
sense of achievement. But I make sure that I also hands
on when it comes to my functions as the light of the
family.
