1.What is your personal understanding of gender development?

Answer:My personal understanding of what is gender development,for me from the word

itself ‘’gender’’ means your identity of what sexual being you belong, if you are a boy, a girl,or you
belong to the LGBT,and from the word ‘’development’’ it is a process of growth and differentiation or
evolution.Hence,gender development is a process which it helps you to enrich your perspective of the
essential of knowing the issues regarding on our gender.

2.Why do we need to understand gender and development?

Answer: We need to understand,what is gender development,because it help us in recognizing

our identity of who we are, not just only in recognizing but it also educate us of what are the rights that
we must know regarding in our gender identity.In our society there still a lot of people were not able to
express or reveal themselves of who they are because of their fears and because of the criticism.Thus
we need to understand what is the important of gender and development because it help those people
who had been criticized and also to those people who criticized in order for us to be open with one
another for our society need an equality.

3.How can gender affect men and women in the following dimensions and why?

a.Economic-Gender can greatly affect in dimension of economic because we Filipinos have a

tradition that the man should find a stable job for his family and the woman should only in their homes
doing the household chores, because we thought that only man can contribute for the economic
development of our country because of their physical abilities ,but we didn’t know that women and
LGBT have also an ability or capacity to contribute for the development of our economy.Thus we need
to address this issue through the help of gender and development.

b.Social-In social dimension gender can greatly affect specially to those who belong to the
LGBT,because others judged them as they are not part of the society,where they experience
bullies,discrimination and degrading their humanity.Because in our society we are lack of knowledge
about the rights regarding gender equality.

c.Political forces-Gender can greatly affect in the dimensions of political forces because the
majority is we choose man as our leader because our mindset that man is capable in leading the
community because of physical abilities but we didn’t know that woman or the LGBT has also a great
plan for the development of the community.Thus we therefore conclude that we really need an enough
to address these common issues regarding of gender inequality education
