Think and Reflect: Deadly Diseases Hidden in Ice are Waking Up

Question:
Do you think the world and our government are ready for possible outbreaks of diseases
caused by these revived bacteria and viruses in the near future? What do you think
should the government do to prepare the country and the people for possible disastrous
and deadly events?

As a student I think that the world and our government are unprepared for any disease
outbreaks produced by these resurrected bacteria and viruses in the near future. Because this
outbreak has been terrible, but the next one could be even worse. A illness is simply too much
for the world to handle. Not everyone is prepared to face another pandemic for a variety of
reasons, delays in enacting plans and responses to various diseases despite evidence of how
to prevent them, including under funding of preparedness plans, particularly in health systems
and notwithstanding evidence that many more epidemics may occur in the future. Furthermore,
Countries must cooperate to provide timely health care and funding for studies and research to
achieve global fitness parity. Our world isn't ready for another epidemic or virus so far. Mistrust
between the public and government and the scientific community is hampering progress in
implementing emergency preparation, even though many epidemics are expected in the future.
An adaptive public fitness and social infrastructure must be in place to ensure that a virus's
evolving epidemiology and sanatorium capacity can be easily addressed in the case of an
outbreak in the future. It will be important to keep up with and plan for stronger health care
infrastructure, both locally and globally, and to take preventative steps.
