Name: Ronell Jeffrey B.

Pardo
Year and Section: 1st year BSTM M3-1
Time Schedule: 10:17pm

1. Provide one (1) personal situation or example that shows the interacting system of
the id, ego, and superego.

Ans: For id. I felt drowsy after I finished the house chores. After I laid down in my
bed, I was immediately asleep.

For Ego. I felt drowsy after I finished the house chores. I was about to sleep in a
chair since it was the closest and most comfortable place I could find. However, if
my mom ever finds out that I slept there, she will scold me. So, I went back to my
bedroom and fell asleep in my bed.

For superego. My mom went outside to buy groceries. She asked me to clean the
house. I was so lazy that I would rather stay and not clean because moving even an
inch is a lot. If I disobey my mother's order, though, it will make her feel sad.
Although I could get away with ignoring my mother, helping her was a better choice.
I am glad that my hard work paid off, and I was able to make my mom smile when
she got home.

2. Make a two-frame photo collage that illustrates your real self and ideal self (any
pictures). For your photo description, make a reflection about yourself and select
one (1) question below to answer.

Ans: The top image indicates where I have to multi-task and seek what I am
good at. While I appreciate the time-saving benefits of multi-tasking, I must identify
which activities I am best at so that my work reflects those strengths. It also made me
feel like I was wasting my time and this wasn’t going to amount to anything. The below
image indicates where I am pursuing my passion. I have pursued areas of excellence
where I am skilled. My top dream is programming. I lost my commitment to becoming a
programmer because I let myself be pressured by comparing myself to others.
 Why is there an incongruence between your real and ideal self? How will you
resolve the discrepancy?

Ans: Your real and ideal self is congruent when your perception of your real and
ideal self is almost the same. For example, if your ideal self-image is being an
honest person and you refuse to cheat on a test, that means your ideal and real
self are nearly identical. Congruence encourages mental well-being and self-
esteem. We can maintain this congruence by setting realistic goals and having a
sense of responsibility. We must be committed to our objectives and understand
our strengths and weaknesses. We can also learn from our past mistakes.
