SR 3-29923914601 : Moving our R12.2.

7 EBS Single-Node DB to RAC on Exadata

Hi Murad,

(1) Upgrade our EBS database from 12.1.0.2 to 19c - for this task you should follow
document "Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 with Oracle
Database 19c" ( Doc ID 2552181.1 ).

(2) Migrate to Exadata - you should follow document "Migrating an Oracle E-Business
Suite Database to Oracle Exadata Database Machine" ( Doc ID 1133355.1 )
For Exadata Cloud@Customer please review document "Migrating Oracle E-Business
Suite Release 12.2 with Oracle Database 19c to Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer Gen 2"
( Doc ID 2781888.1 ).

(3) Convert from single-node to RAC - since the database will be 19c at this point,
please follow document "Using Oracle 19c Oracle RAC Multitenant (Single PDB) with
Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2" ( Doc ID 2530665.1 ).

Thanks,
Frank

--> Is it certified to run R12.2. with 19c DB on Exadata?

--> What Note(s) should we follow? What are the requirements (Apps/DB/OS/Exadata)?

==> How much time does Oracle need to deliever Exadata to the customer?
==> How much is Exadata?
==> How much is Exadata C@C? is there a difference in pricing? will the customer
keep the machine if the cloud subscribtion ends?

1 node --> 2 CPU

1 CPU --> 24 Cores
==> 1 node= 2*24= 48 Cores
Full Rack = 8 nodes
==> Full Rack = 8* 48 = 384

1.5TB RAM/Node ==> 12TB Full Rack Memory
