CUEVAS WEEK 3

BEED 1D

ASSESSMENT;

Instructions: Do a research and list ten (10) things to boost your self-esteem or improve your self-
concept. Write your answer in a piece of yellow paper/long bond paper.

HOW TO BOOST YOUR SELF-ESTEEM?

1. Give yourself a challenge-Set yourself a goal, such as joining an exercise class or going to a social
occasion
2. Be kind to yourself-Think what you'd say to a friend in a similar situation. We often give far
better advice to others than we do to ourselves.
3. Build positive relationships-Try to build relationships with people who are positive and who
appreciate you.
4. Participate In Life- en if you can’t succeed at first, appreciate yourself for at least trying! A
counselor can show you another perspective on the outside world.
5. Establish A Purpose-Set achievable goals for your future with the help of your counselor. Start
with very small goals like ‘I’ll get up early in the morning.’ Then, gradually stretch your limit.
6. Gather The Courage-It is sometimes easier to be motivated by someone else than by yourself.
Counseling helps you take control of your life.
7. Treat Yourself Well-Learn to let go! Enjoy yourself. Indulge in things that you like. Go biking,
hiking or read a good book. It is extremely important to love and respect yourself in order to
have high self- esteem.
8. Surround yourself with a supportive squad-Find people who make you feel good about yourself
and avoid those who tend to trigger your negative thinking.
9. Celebrate the small stuff-You got up on time this morning. Tick. You poached your eggs to
perfection. Winning. Celebrating the small victories is a great way to build confidence and start
feeling better about yourself
10. Nobody’s perfect- Always strive to be the best version of yourself, but it’s also important to
accept that perfection is an unrealistic goal.
