COURSE INFORMATION
1. Course Number : GPE 3
2. Course Name : Physical Activities Toward Health and Fitness 3 (PATHFIT 3): Menu of Dance, Sports, Martial Arts,
Group Exercise, Outdoor and Adventure Activities.
3. Course Description : This course will provide physical activities for the purpose of optimizing health and
fitness. You may choose any from a menu of course offerings in Dance, Sports and outdoor an Adventure Activities.
4. Pre-requisite : GPE 2
5. Co-requisite : None
6. Credit : 2.0 units
7. Class schedule : 4hours per week
8. Student Outcomes (SO) of GPE

*SOa: Participate in moderate to vigorous physical activities (MVPs) in accordance with national and global recommendations on
physical activities for health.

*Sob: Adapt movement competencies to independent physical activity pursuits that are health- enhancing and personally rewarding.
SOc: Monitor progress and evaluate achievement of personal fitness and dietary goals.
*Sod: Practice empathy, fair play; show respect for differing abilities fi.e., diversity) through interpersonal communication skills and
emotional regulation during PA participation.
*SOe: For sports, apply basic tactics (e.g. defense, offense, transition) in game situations.
*SOf: Devise, apply and assess a range of strategies (i.e., exercise program design; goal-setting; periodic evaluation) to improve one's
physical activity performances and those of others.
*SOg: Enhance and advocate for one's personal and others' fitness, safety and wellness through physical activity participation and/or
leadership.
*SOh: Promote practical and creative interventions that will create community connection and contribute to the health and wellness of
the school community and its periphery.

facilities and equipment, badminton shots, and badminton
footwork.
Second Exam PART 2 In part 2, you are expected to demonstrate deep knowledge on

the characteristics of pop dance.

Third Exam PART 3 Performance In part 3, you are expected to demonstrate deep knowledge of
(100%) cheer dance, history of cheer leading, essentials of cheer
dancing, basic cheer motions, cheer dance basic and
contemporary dance.

Final Exam PART 4 Performance In part 4, you are expected to demonstrate deep knowledge on
(100%) the characteristics of pop dance.

18. POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

a. Attendance is counted from the first regular class meeting.


b. A validated student identification card must always worn by all students while attending classes.
c. Cheating is strictly prohibited. Any form of dishonesty shall be dealt with accordingly. Honesty is called for at All times.
d. Base-15 grading policy should be observed. Students who obtained failing scores in major exams are recommended to attend
the tutorial classes.
