According to the eHealth in the Philippines (2020), the scaling up and full adoption of electronic
medical record (EMR) systems was strategically scheduled and presumably finished in 2020 to
support the universal health care (UHC) law. However, the Covid-19 outbreak put a halt to these
efforts. We sought to see how far EMR implementation had progressed in RHU primary clinics
and how frequently they were used, especially during the epidemic. We predicted EMR usage
frequency based on duration of use using EMR usage logs from selected RHUs in 2020 and
evaluated if this was influenced by the performing RHU and pandemic event. RHUs performed
more activities during the epidemic, according to process maps. Except for the Update Patient
Profile and Add Patient EMR capabilities, there were substantial differences in how often
utilized features were accessed before and after the epidemic. The findings point to an
inconsistent amount of EMR use in primary care, which could have an impact on the law's
readiness to fully implement. The study demonstrates the value of taking a more detailed look at
adoption in order to increase the quality of EMR use and contribute to better health-care delivery
and funding.

This study examines patient preferences for receiving genetic test results electronically, as well
as what content and design concerns should be prioritized. Utilizing semi-structured procedures,
59 interviews were performed using user-centered design methodologies. The interviews focused
on the content and design of patient portals that made it easier for patients to receive test results.
Patients who obtained electronic findings for certain types of genetic testing (pharmacogenetic
tests, hereditary blood condition tests, and tests for the risk of heritable tumors) or who received
any type of genetic or nongenetic test results electronically were interviewed. Many participants
agreed that some physician engagement was always required in electronic result returns, and that
electronic coversheets with concise summaries would be helpful in this regard. Coversheet
summaries could be used in conjunction with, but not in instead of, the detailed report.
Participants suggested that the more extensive report be accompanied by a patient-friendly front
section and offered organizational, content, and phrasing ideas. Because many people use their
smartphones to retrieve test results on a daily basis, health systems and patient portal software
suppliers should consider both smartphone app and web portal design when creating platforms
In September 2019, at a large Midwestern pediatric health facility, they did a retrospective,
exploratory, descriptive task analysis of EHR access log data from primary care pediatricians to
quantify and identify actions completed outside of scheduled clinic hours. The impacts of age,
sex, clinical full-time equivalent status, and EHR work during scheduled clinic hours on the use
of EHRs outside of scheduled clinic hours were investigated using mixed-effects statistical
modeling. Primary care doctors spent approximately 10 minutes interacting with the EHR
outside of planned clinic hours for every hour they spent engaged with the EHR during
scheduled clinic hours. Most of their time was spent in EHR evaluating data, records, and other
information (both within and outside of clinic hours). It used a retrospective descriptive task
analysis of EHR access log data and actual physician clinic schedules to define work time to
characterize EHR work outside of regular clinic hours among primary care pediatricians.

Records, a technology that is regarded a necessity in most developed nations, are examined in
implementation. Complexity, a lack of infrastructure, and bad interface design are all examples
of technological hurdles.

Philippine Department of Health. The SHINE OS+ electronic medical record system is being
integrated by VII. Smart Communications and the Ateneo Java Wireless Competency Center
(AJWCC) are collaborating to improve the region's health programs using an existing reporting
mechanism. The Department of Health Region VII's health programs will benefit from the
integration of SHINE OS+ with its existing reporting platform. Central Visayas, or Region VII,
is made up of four provinces. Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor are among the islands.
Some
of the health programs that the Department of Health Regional Office VII is focusing
