Note: For performance it helps to think of this piece as a layered refrain that develops musically each time it is sung. For example, the first time
through the refrain would be sung in unison with only keyboard accompaniment. The second time the choir can add the SAB parts and the oboe
and violin parts played. The third time the trumpets enter while the refrain is sung in grand unison with soprano descant. In many parishes it would
require only 3-4 refrains to accompany the sprinkling rite.
