Identify common rock-forming minerals using their physical and chemical properties (S11ES-Ib-5)

I-Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 80% of the learners are expected to:
1. Define the term mineral
2. Classify common objects whether they are minerals or not
3. Match the different physical properties of mineral to its description
4. Develop awareness of importance of minerals in our daily life
II-Subject Matter:
A. Topic: Physical and chemical properties of common-rock forming minerals
B. Materials: PPT Presentation, Images of mineral and non mineral substances, provided slate
board, chalk

Directions: Read aloud each statement, carefully and comprehensively. Determine whether the
statement is correct or not. If the statement is correct, say YES with feelings. However, if the statement is
