10 HOST: Let’s start on the Let’s See Activity. Identify the emotions conveyed by

11 each image. Then, write a sentence to support your answer. I will give you

12 some time to answer it.

17 Based on your reading worksheet you have their samples of positive and

18 negative messages. In the first sentence, Water is the most essential

19 element of the human body likewise it is the most important component

20 of plants. In this sentence it is composed of two positive independent

21 clauses. In the second sentence, Not only is the livelihood of many affected

22 by COVID-19, but the general health of everyone is also threatened. Here

23 in this sentence compared to the first sample, this is composed of two

negative dependent clauses.

12 Aren’t there more important things to worry about than saying “please”,

13 “thank you” and “excuse me”? Letter B: If you are mannerly, people will

14 likely view you as mature and responsible –and they’ll treat you

15 accordingly! Letter C: People are drawn to those who are mannerly and

16 who treat them well. After all, who would want to be in the company of

17 someone who is rude or obnoxious? Letter D: Social interaction is a part

18 of daily life. How you handle it can affect how people view you and treat

19 you. Put simply, your manners really matter!
