Scripture: James 5:16 "...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
1. Prayer of Confession
True confession is done with an attitude of humility and with an attitude of repentance.
Text: 1 Peter 5:6: “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the
proper time he may exalt you”
• 2. Prayers for strength in our Christian walk. Text: Nehemiah 8:10 “Do not grieve,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
4. Pray for those in our country who are still in process of recovering from Hurricane
Dorian. Text: 1 John 5:14 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we
ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
5. Pray for our children as they return to school under new conditions Text: Philippians
4:6-7: “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses
all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
7. Pray for all church leaders. Text: Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the
way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
8. Pray for Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Text: Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
9. Prayers for persons and situations in our communities. Text: Matthew 11:28-30
“ Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke
upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for
your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
