liac artery and external iliac artery.

The module provides practice for the following:

● Performing diagnostic angiography.

● Antegrade or retrograde (crossover) technique.
● Performing angioplasty and stenting.
● A selection of drugs allows controlling hemodynamic changes and coagulation.
● Cases present a variety of anatomies with different aortic bifurcation angulations as well
as various stenosis locations (common iliac, bilateral lesions or external iliac artery),
degrees and lengths.

This module provides basic endovascular training for treatment of peripheral artery disease focused in
the common femoral artery and the superficial femoral artery.

degree and length

EVAR MODULE

Allows practicing endovascular aneurysm repair in the abdominal aorta using a stent graft system
including aortography, precise deployment of the bifurcated and contralateral leg stent graft
components, deployment of extenders and touch-up ballooning. The trainee may encounter
complications such as stent graft migration or endoleaks. Patient anatomies include varying aortic
neck sizes and angulations, aneurysm sizes and orientations, size and tortuosity of iliac arteries and
presence of calcification.

TEVAR MODULE

Allows practicing thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR) using a stent graft system and a
stent graft balloon. The patient anatomies include different sizes and locations of aneurysms and
transections. The simulated complications include endoleaks which can be resolved with balloon
inflation or stent graft extensions.

PERIPHERAL EMBOLIZATION MODULE

Provides practice on multiple patient anatomies and scenarios requiring embolization, such as renal
aneurysm, arterio venous fistula, hypogastric artery embolization (pre-EVAR), Type II (post EVAR)
endoleak embolization and GI bleeding. The module provides a selection of common embolization
materials such as microcoils and macrocoils and PVA particles, delivered through a microcatheter or
an angiographic catheter to the target vessel. The module includes intra-procedural complications
such as coil migration, perforations and spasms.
