INNOVATION PROPOSAL

A. Title
School-based Technology-Enhanced Assessment and Resources (STEAR) Project
B. Rationale

This time of pandemic, some learners struggle a lot in understanding

lessons under the modular distance learning. Hence, it is pivotal that teachers
create a significant way on how to aid students’ learning through the use of
technology.
During the first and second quarters of school year 2021-2022, it was
noted that some students perform low in their Science subject. These students
are having difficulty because they lack support system at home that can help
them understand the concepts. As science teacher, it is important that there
must be an intervention on how to address this problem. That’s why this
innovation School-based Technology-enhanced Assessment and Resources
(STEAR) Project was conceptualized. This project entails the integration of
video lessons, Technology-based assessments and resources to the teaching
and learning process. Students will be given the chance to be provided with
enriching ICT-based activities as well as video lessons that will boost the
retention of knowledge and acquisition of skills through the use of ICT
Multimedia platforms like Group chats, FB Page and Youtube. This will also
promote positive use of technology as well as to develop a sense of appreciation
on the use of ICT in the teaching and learning process.
Collaboration with the LGU/Barangay will also be done to aid on students’
connectivity in case they do not have at home.

This innovation will be implemented for the 3 rd and 4th quarters of the
school year 2021-2022 and for the whole school year of the SY 2022-2023 to
help students cope up with the lessons in Science 10.

STAR Project aims to:
1. Aid students in learning Science concepts;
2. Improve students’ performance in Science;
3. Develop students’ appreciation of the use of ICT in the retention and
acquisition of scientific knowledge and skills.

I. Sustainability Plans
