2. This assignment should be submitted ONLINE through the LMS portal.

4. This assignment contributes 20% of the total assignment marks.

ASSIGNMENT: GROUP ESSAY (20%)

OBJECTIVE
This essay aims to evaluate student ability to explain current issues based on the Sejahtera
philosophy, the National Education Philosophy, and the Rukun Negara, and explain current
issues based on the main schools of thought in various strands of philosophy.

a. GUIDELINES TO WRITTEN ESSAY (20%)

i. This assignment is based on one topic, to be done in groups.
ii. Students found to be not committed to the group essay will have their marks
deducted, or not even awarded marks at all.
iii. The page numbers should be around 12-15 pages, not including cover page,
appendices, and list of references.
iv. Your essay must be typed (not handwritten), in size 12, Times New Roman font,
and double spacing.
v. The contents should be more than 1200 words (not including cover page,
appendices, and reference list).
 vi. You are prohibited from copying from others. You are also prohibited from
plagiarising other works as your own.
vii. This essay contributes 20% of your total assignment coursework marks.

TITLE OF ESSAY
The topic for your essay must be THE SAME as your presentation topic.

 Discussion on the philosophy topic selected must be related to the frameworks of

the National Education Philosophy, OR the Rukun Negara OR the Sejahtera
Philosophy.

 This essay must contain the following elements:
