GROUP DYNAMICS
 The social process by which people interact and behave in a
group environment is called group dynamics. Group dynamics
involves the influence of personality, and behavior on the
group process. Also group dynamics describes the way in which
people in a group interact with one another. When dynamics
are positive, the group works well together.
IMPORTANCE OF
GROUP DYNAMIC
 When a good dynamic exists within a group working toward a
common goal, each individual member will perform effectively and
achieve goals set by the group. Poor group dynamics can adversely
affect performance, leading to a negative outcome on the common
goal or project.
IMPORTANCE OF
GROUP DYNAMIC
 Group decision
- is a situation faced when individuals collectively make a choice from
the alternatives before them. The decision is then no longer attributable
to any single individual who is a member of the group.

 Leadership
- is the ability of an individual or a group of individuals to influence
and guide followers or other members of an organization.
EFFECTIVE OF GROUP DYNAMICS
 Know your team
- Knowing your team members will allow you to be able to
tell sooner rather than later if a team member is happy and a
good fit. Knowing that will prevent resentments from building up
and creating toxicity in your work environment.
 Fair treatment
- It is not only making sure that everyone is treated the
same. It encourages, respect, responsibility, leadership, trust and
a life that matters. All of these things affect in a organization.
Focus on Communication
- Open communication is central to
good team dynamics, so make sure that
everyone is communicating clearly.
STAGES ON TEAMS EVOLUTION
 FORMING
- Members share personal information; start to get to know and
accept one another; and begin turning their attention toward the group jobs. In
this stage, courtesy usually prevails and interactions are cautious.
 STORMING
- Members for status and jockeys for positions argue about
appropriate directions for the group. Normally, external pressures often
interfere with the group, and tensions rise between individuals as they interact
and assert themselves.
 NORMING
- The group begins moving together in a cooperative way. Group
norms emerge to guide individual behavior, and cooperative attitudes and
feelings are evidently felt.
 PERFORMING
- The group eventually matures and learns to handle
complex challenges. Functional roles are identified and performed;
thereby, tasks are efficiently accomplished.
 5. ADJOURNING
- Even the most successful groups and project teams usually
disband sooner or later. This life cycle is called adjournment. This is
the period which requires dissolving social relations and returning to
permanent assignments. Elements of Effective Teams
