Job announcement: Fundraising Director

Pronatura Noroeste A. C. (PNO) is a Mexican, civil, non-profit organization founded in 1991. Its mission is the
conservation of the flora, fauna and priority ecosystems in northwest Mexico, to promote the development of society
in harmony with nature.
Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Fundraising Director (FD) will spearhead
development efforts as PNO’s continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the FD will have the opportunity
to build the development function.
Responsibilities:
▪ Design and execute PNO’s annual fundraising plan in coordination with PNO’s ED;
▪ Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations, in coordination with PNO´s ED and
Program Directors;
▪ Manage the implementation of donor focused CRM (custom relationship management) software (Salesforce) and
oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift/grant processing;
▪ Develop, register and maintain ongoing relationships with current, past and potential donors;
▪ Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual and corporate donors;
▪ Oversee organization of special fundraising campaigns and events;
▪ Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising;
▪ Coordinate the implementation of communications strategy together with the ED, Program Directors, Regional
Coordinators and Thematic Coordinators;
▪ Lead and manage PNO’s Communications staff working to develop communications materials (web, email, social
media, and print) aimed at expanding and diversifying the organization’s charitable giving among individual
donors, foundations and corporations.
o Develop a donor-oriented bimonthly newsletter in English and Spanish;
o Develop, launch and manage English-language social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram).
▪ Meet donors throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and beyond, virtually and/or in person, as required.
Required qualifications:
▪ Five-plus years of experience in fundraising, with proven results and references.
▪ Bilingual and bicultural.
▪ BA (required), MA (a plus) in business, communications and/or any other related field.
▪ Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
▪ Experience in donor CRM solutions (Salesforce).
▪ Experience effectively managing small teams of up to 6 people, with proven results.
Location:
▪ Ensenada, B.C., Mexico or remote. While our ideal candidate would be based in our headquarter’s office, we
encourage qualified candidates that live in either the United States or Mexico, that have a demonstrated track
record of effectively working remotely from a home office setting.
