OBJECTIVE: By the end of the class, students will be able to identify different kinds of food by listening and use this vocabulary food to
elaborate statements.
VOCABULARY: sweet and salty food (bread, butter, cake, candy, cheese, chocolate, coffee, cookies, fruit, crackers, ice cream, milk, nuts,
potato chips, soda).

Students listen the song relate to the class.
PRESENTATION Teacher asks students what they did the day before. Calls then at random in order Flash cards
to collect the information. T–S Cd 3´
Teacher hand flash cards on the board with different kinds of food.
Teacher distributes the birthday’s hats to some ss and puts the craw on Tokiko´s
head
Teacher asks ss for their help to prepare the birthday table, choosing the flash cars
already stick next to it.
Students chose some flash cards and stick then on the birthday table.

PRACTICE Teacher asks ss to open their books on page 60.


Teacher gives ss instructions: S- S Book 4´
Teacher asks students to matches the picture with the correct name by filling the Cd
blanks.
Teacher checks if ss understood what they have to do.
Teacher asks students to work in pairs in order to compare their answer.
Once again, students listen to the audio and check their results.

ASSESSMENT: Teacher asks students to work in pairs to discuss what kind of food they should or shouldn´t eat, realizing that healthy food is the best way
to have a longer life. Example Vegetables and fruit are good for your health and cookies and ice cream are unhealthy.
