2. Standard and sample measurement

IMPORTANT: Make sure to fill in each parameter even though it shows the same view as the guide (keep clicking even though it is the same as the existing display)!

1) Choose Simulation Module

Module Name: DETERMINATION OF SULFATE
Sample Name: sulfate sample
2) Select "Measurements"
3) Select "Concentration"
4) On the Sample Tab, fill in the following:
Sample Name: sulfate sample (adjust according to the choice at the beginning)
Sample Table: On; then click edit, on Number of Sample selected “3”, then select Execute and Close
Replicate Measurement: On
Number of Replicate: On
Statistics: On
5) On the Measurement Tab, fill in as follows:
Number of WL: 1
WL1 (nm): 313 (adjusted for WL-Scan results)
Initial Delays: 0
6) On the Calibration Curve Tab, fill in the following:
Calibration Curve Type: 1 st Order
Plot of Replicate: All
Through Zero: On
CONC Units: mg/L
Number of Decimal Pieces of CONC: 4
CONC Max and CONC Min, don't need to change
7) On the Calibration Curve Data tab, fill in the following:
Number of STD: 5
Simple Input of STD CONC Series: Off

Standard Data Concentration (mg/L)

STD1 0
STD2 5
STD3 15
STD4 20
STD5 25

8) In Tab 6 Cell, fill in as follows:

6 Cell Modes: Manual
9) On the System Tab, select “Abs=f(CONC)”
10) The “Control Item” and “Print” tabs don't need to change
11) Click "STD Measurement" in the top right corner
In offline practicum, this step is done after inserting the cuvette which has been filled with standard solution. The number of cuvette containers is 6. In container
A, fill in the blank solution, in containers 1-5, fill in the standard order according to the Calibration Curve Data Tab, then click “Start” (green button). If the amount
of solution exceeds 6, then after the measurement is complete, the next solution is put in container 1 and so on according to the standard amount, then click
"Start" again. Make sure the cuvette in the reference container is filled with blank solution.
12) Watch the simulation video (If the video does not play then right click on the mouse then select "play") until the textbox "vlab-d3akuii.com says" appears and
select "Ok"
13) Click "Curva Check" in the upper right corner
14) Click "Sample Measurement" in the top right corner
In the offline practicum, this step is carried out after inserting the cuvette that has been filled with the sample solution. The steps are the same as the standard
measurement (STD Measurement)
15) After viewing the simulation video, click "Data" in the upper right corner
16) In the textbox, fill in File Name: Sulfate
17) Click "Save", then "Ok"
18) Select the icon (position above) "Printer" to download data in PDF form and "Doc Excel/X" to download CSV data
19) After that select “Exit” (top right corner)
