INTRODUCTION
Sweet potato is the highlight ingredients in this delicious
treat. Compared to regular potatoes, it is naturally sweet
and is very smooth and cream-like when boiled and mashed.
Sweet potato is less expensive and as a Filipino citizen it
is our tradition to have this as a snack. We are very
familiar as we do adopt it through our generation with our
elders in every place of our country the Philippines. As
this vegetable can be easily cooked just by steaming and
can already be served as a snack. But most of us, as we are
creative, we made a lot of different kind of this yummy
potato. Donut is not new to everyone as this kind of food
are very popular especially for all ages. And this made us
as a group to form a business of this delicious and healthy
vegetable. Through observation with the new generation
children nowadays are becoming more picky with their food.
They are not very fond in eating a potato so it give us a
hint to do a business from it. Yes indeed, we do have
different kind of snack that is made up with potato like for
example the French fries. Its one of the most popular in
every country, for us we do also wanted to make something
new and we want it to be also one of the comfort food of
everyone especially the kids. Sweet potatoes are considered
a versatile root vegetable often used in many desserts. And
we want to give a very satisfying potato donut especially
for the kids and for all ages. As we assure to every
customers a unique servings of our product that’s serve you
nutritious, delicious and affordable cost. We also offer our
investors and consumers a whole sale and retail our product.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A. Executive Summary

The PJJ’s Sweet Potato Donut concept was made up from


the idea of having the potato as one of the most
delicious delicacy. The purpose of this business is not
just for the opportunities but for giving a satisfying
and a very delicious healthy donut for all ages. We will
accomplish our goal providing a very relaxing ,
ecofriendly environment that will make customers feel
comfortable. Pjj’s Sweet Potato Donuts mission statement is
to be the number one most loved potato donut in town of
Baao Camarines Sur is our mission. By maintaining high
standard of service in providing our customers with
delicious, healthy, freshly cooked and affordable high
quality of donut.We aspire to develop our relationship
with the community by giving back to those who in need. Our
PJJ’s Sweet Potato Donut will be located at The Monseigneur
Jorge Imperial Barlin Park, Baao, Camarines Sur. As target
customer groups of this business are the residents of Baao,
Camarines Sur. As people nowadays tend to gravitate to
places that are convenient and provide a nice environment
for studying or lunch breaks. It will price its product
based from the total expenses and is comparable to its
nearby competitors.
B. VISION

Our vision is to provide a good service to every customers


and a very nutritious food. That will satisfy and fulfill
your craving as we serve a yummy and sweet healthy donut to
every ages.

MISSION

To be the number one most loved potato donut in town of


Baao, Camarines Sur is our mission. By maintaining high
standard of service in providing our customers with
delicious, healthy, freshly cooked and affordable high
quality of donut.

C. SWOT Analysis
SWOT Analysis provides a foundation for good decision
making. It is useful in strategic planning for achieving the
goals of the business. And the resulting strategies should
enable the organization to attain its goal by taking
advantage of opportunities, countering threats, building
strengths, and correcting organization weaknesses.

To be the number one most loved sweet potato donut at Baao,
Camarines Sur is our mission. By maintaining high standard
of service in providing our customers with healthy,
delicious freshly cooked and affordable high quality of
donut.

CHAPTER IV

TECHNICAL STUDY

A. The Product

Nowadays there are so many changes in every corner around the


world every individual have their own ways for sustaining
their own needs and all necessities like food. Our county is
still developing to stay in competition with the fast growing
economic industry. With this regards the product of our
business made a product that suits well the demand of new
taste and preference to people to sweet like cakes and
cupcakes and this is the reason why we came up with and made a
unique food. And other people love something different or new,
innovated that the first sight and smell will entice you to
buy. The PJJ Sweet Potato Donut is mix sweet and bread, donut
is originate from Germany and sweet potato is the common food
in town of Iriga City it can also be used to make delicious
foods or candies. Our product is set to deliver quality,
delicious and affordable that will surely love by our
countrymen, buyers and other visitors. This would also help
other small entrepreneurs to generate income through buy and
sell. With this new product ours, the home of every buyers
will have new taste on their table during their snacks,
leisure time, occasion, and holidays. We, in PJJ’s Sweet
Potato Donut assure that your every purchase is make you
satisfied and worth the price.

B. Production

Ingredients:

 ½ kilo sweet potato


 ½ cup sugar
 1 cup all-purpose flour
 ½ cup powdered milk
 2 eggs (for coating)
 1 cup breadcrumbs
 Oil (for frying)
PROCEDURE:

1. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into wedges. Wash the
pieces and place into a saucepan. Cover the sweet potatoes
with water and let it boil to soften. Poke to test if the
sweet potatoes are soft and tender.
2. Drain the boiled sweet potatoes and then transfer to a
container. Mash gently using a fork.
3. In a large bowl, add the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar,
powdered milk and all-purpose flour. Mix the ingredients
until well-combined.
4. Use the hands to knead the mixture. As you knead, the
mixture will turn into a sticky and smooth dough.
5. Use a 1/8 measuring cup to portion the dough. Roll the dough
in your palm to make a small ball. Press gently to flatten.
Using your finger, poke the center to make a doughnut hole.
Repeat this step with the rest of the dough.
6. Crack the eggs in a shallow plate and whisk gently. Add some
breadcrumbs in a separate plate. Dip each doughnut in eggs
then in breadcrumbs. Repeat this step with the rest of the
doughnuts.
7. Heat some oil in a pan. Deep-fry the sweet potato doughnuts
under low heat. After a few minutes, flip the doughnuts to
cook the other side. Fry until golden brown.
8. Transfer the fried doughnuts into a strainer or paper towel
to drain excess oil.
9. Serve warm and enjoy

 A strainer is a wire-mesh silicone or metal kitchen


sieve that chefs and home cooks use to separate liquids
from fine solids in cooking, 

A saucepan is a piece of cookware that functions as a


small, deep pot for cooking liquids on a stovetop. This
type of pan is deeper than a standard sauté pan or
frying pan, but shallower than a stockpot.

Larger bowls are most often used to prepare medium


amounts of sauces or for mixing dried ingredients.

1/8 Measuring cup are typically used as a kitchen


measurement for both liquid ingredients and dry
ingredients.
A whisk is a cooking utensil which can be used to blend
ingredients smooth or to incorporate air into a mixture,
in a process known as whisking or whipping.

A paper towels come in handy in so many situations, from


blotting moist raw meats and drying washed produce to
absorbing grease from fried foods and wiping out hot pans

frying pan is used for frying foods over moderate to high


heat so they should be thick enough to conduct heat
evenly. There are several sizes available and they are
generally round in shape.

 plate is a broad, mainly flat vessel on which food can be


served. A plate can also be used for ceremonial or
decorative purposes

A gas tank and stove is an appliance used to cook food by


providing heat directly. Some stoves are enclosed and
this leads to people confusing them for ovens but not all
stoves can cook food as some only provide heat
D. PLANT LOCATION

The Plant Location shall be located at The Monseigneur Jorge


Imperial Barlin Park, Baao, Camarines Sur, and the reason
why this is the plant location we chose is because there are
many people who come and take a walk so we can encourage
more people to buy because they can rest and eat. Below is
the location of the propose business.

E. PLANT LAYOUT

This Plant layout is design to complement the needs of


production of PJJ Sweet Potato Donut and this is the plant
layout that we came up with because it is simple and orderly
to avoid the confusion of consumers and eaters. This helps to
supplement and sustain the needs of production services in
order to meet the quantity and quality of products.
CHAPTER V

MARKETING STUDY

A. Marketing Analysis

 Market Definition

- A market is a place where two parties can


gather to facilitate the exchange of goods
and services. The parties involved are
usually buyers and sellers. The market may be
physical like retail outlet, where people
meet face-to-face, or virtual like an online
market.

 Target Market
- This refers to the customer within the
vicinity of location, neighboring towns and
tourist or visitors. Our potato donut is a
sweet delicacy as this kind of food are very
popular. Our product is made available for
all ages.

 Competition

- The PJJ’s Sweet Potato Donut is a new


business that will be introduced to market
industry. We are aware of the competitors and
the risks that we may encounter in this
industry. However it will never bring us down
as we have the goals and we want to achieve
it.

B. Marketing Strategies

 Product

- Pjjs sweet potato donut are made available


for people who loved healthy sweets snacks.
As Our product is set to deliver quality,
delicious and affordable that will surely love by
our countrymen, buyers and other visitors. This
would also help other small entrepreneurs to
generate income through buy and sell.

 Price
- PJJS sweet potato donut, pricing strategy
will be based on total variable cost of
producing each product multiplied with the
profit margin to come up with the unit
selling price. Its price is just right enough
that everyone can afford.

 Promotion

- We will allow deliveries with no charge and


wholesale orders will have a quality
discounts.

 Placement

- We will advertise our business through


tarpaulins showing where the place were
located. And we will also used the social
media to promote our business.
