Cholesterol- Lượng mỡ/cholesterol
Cholesterol is a waxy substance found in all your body cells. There are
two types: low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein
(HDL). Your body needs cholesterol, but too much can lead to heart
attack/stroke.

How do you test for high cholesterol?


A blood test called a lipoprotein panel- measures abnormalities in
lipids/fats.

Healthy- total should be below 200 mg/dl


Too low- less than 40 mg/dl HDL
Too high- more than 130 LDL

● Measuring levels of glucose in the blood → Could be indicative
of diabetes/pre-diabetes
● How to test? → finger prick, check blood glucose levels
○ Normal fasting blood glucose ranges: 77-99 mg/dL
○ Pre-diabetic fasting: 100-120 mg/dL
○ Diabetic fasting: 120+ mg/dL
● Note: can vary depending on last meal! ASK your patient when
they last ate! :)
