GENERAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

OF PORTABLE HOUSING UNITS

(Regular standard)

CHASSIS:
The Chassis constructed of IPE-120 main girders including IPE120 crossbeams with lifting lugs. All
steel members are welded together to obtain the chassis optimum strength, rigidity and stability
and primed with 2’ coats of grey color alkyd primer coating for weather protection.

FLOORS:
A-SUB-FLOOR: is constructed of steel hollow tubes joists size (30 x 60 x 1.2) mm Spaced at (400)
mm. c/c, painted with 2’ coats of grey color alkyd primer coating for weather protection.
B-FLOOR DECK: is made up of (18) mm. thick marine plywood boards screwed to the sub-floor
joists.
C-FLOOR COVERING: is of 4mm thick carpet (locally made) except in wet areas shall be of (1.6)
mm. thick vinyl sheeting with seamless joints for optimum water tightness.

WALLS:
External Walls constructed of steel framed load-bearing sandwich panels (50) mm. thick covered
externally with (0.32) mm pre-painted sheeting. Internally the walls covered of 4mm decorative
boards and sandwiched in the middle with polystyrene insulation using special polyurethane
adhesive to obtain optimum bonding between cladding and insulation material.
Partitions constructed of steel framed load-bearing sandwich panels (40) mm. thick covered on
both sides with 4mm decorative boards.
Wooden baseboard shall be provided along the wall to floor joints.

ROOFS & CEILINGS:

Roofs are made of structural steel trusses and purlins and covered with 0.32mm thick galvanized
pre-painted corrugated roof sheets (white color). Heat insulation with a layer of 2” thick fiberglass
blanket with aluminium foil face below the roof sheeting.
Ceilings are made of gypsum ceiling tiles (60x60cm) on pre-painted steel grid with a clear height
of 240cm.

WINDOWS
Windows are made of clear glass panes on white color aluminum profiles of the sliding type
complete with fly-screens.

DOORS
Internal Doors are made of insulated panel leaf with aluminium frames and are covered both
sides with the same decorative boards used for internal walls.
External Doors are made of insulated panel leaf with pre-painted sheeting externally and
decorative boards internally.
All internal and external doors are fitted with good quality door locks and hinges.

ELECTRICAL
Electrical networks made in accordance with approved drawings. All electrical cabling are
embedded inside the walls and ceiling. The light fixtures are of fluorescent type or LED to obtain
proper illumination level.
Adequate size of panel board with suitable breakers including power socket outlets, A/C sockets
and lighting switches in each unit.

SANITARY
Bathrooms: Walls of bathrooms are made of water resistant polyester sheets. Each bathroom
equipped with European water closet, spray hose, paper holder, washbasin with mixer, mirror,
shelf, soap holder and shower tray with mixer.
Kitchens: Walls of kitchens are similar to bathroom walls. Each kitchen provided with a stainless
steel sink with mixer and lower cabinet.

All bathrooms and kitchens provided with suitable size of exhaust fan. The water distribution
networks shall be pressure tested in the factory after installation.

Our specialized quality control team strictly inspects and controls the quality of all our products
throughout the manufacturing process. We always welcome our customer’s to view and perform
any tests deemed necessary.
