• Complete required Permit-To-Work (PTW).

• Lockout / Tag-out Permit required.
• Review / Complete Job-Safety-Analysis (JSA).
• Inform Area authority if work is carried out on critical equipment for ongoing
operation.
• Do not wear jewellery when working around rotating machinery.
• Wear all proper safety equipment.

JOB PLAN INSTRUCTION

1. Check the brake assembly for damage and cleanliness.

2. Ensure the cooling water discharge free falls into an open funnel. (Non Restrictive).
3. Check the flow alarm and high temperature alarm and ensure all alarms are visible and audible.
4. Ensure all vents and breathers are clean and not obstructed. (See to Figure 2)
5. Check all cables and connections on the brake assembly for damage and tightness.
6. Check the complete brake assembly for Exd integrity.
7. Check the flame path on the cable connection box and ensure it is paint free.
8. Check the main control panel for damage and cleanliness.
9. Ensure all doors with electrical equipment are earth linked to the panel main frame.
Check the mains cable and control cable connections for tightness and overheating

11. Check all drives and contactors for overheating and free movement.
12. Ensure all meters and indicating lights are operating correctly.
13. Check the battery cabinet for damage and cleanliness.
14. Ensure all the battery connections are tight and clean.

25. Megger coil F1/F2 resistance to ground and record the reading. (See Figure 1)
26. Megger coil F3/F4 resistance to ground and record the reading. (See Figure 1)
27. Megger coil F5/F6 resistance to ground and record the reading. (See Figure 1)
28. Megger coil F7/F8 resistance to ground and record the reading. (See Figure 1)
29. Measure the air gap on the drillers side at 12 O’clock and record the reading.
30. Measure the air gap on the drillers side at 4 O’clock and record the reading.
31. Measure the air gap on the drillers side at 8 O’clock and record the reading.
32. Measure the air gap on the off drillers side at 12 O’clock and record the reading.
