Sheet Metal

z See Sheet Metal WEB Page for standards on dimensioning and views.
z All dimensions should show to 3 decimal places. Tolerances will be in the Note.

model clearly.

z Where tolerances are non-standard use DETAIL-Modify-Dimension to change or
add the tolerances.
z When submitting the part, before release of the part, it must be at revision level 0
(zero).
z Place AUTO_Balloon_ref BOM.
z Place AUTO BALLOONS.

Weldments

The difference between the Weldment drawing and the Sheet Metal drawing is the model
file contains the Weldment and the main sheet metal part. The bill of material will
include the raw material for the sheet metal part along with any fasteners, etc., it will also
include any weldment pieces and the finish.

z Use either the English or metric sheetmetal drawing templates to generate the
drawing.
z The isometric view and standard views will be placed. Delete any views not
needed. If the weldment is simple the isometric view may be the only view
necessary on the first sheet.

Views-Disp Mode-View Display-Hidden Line-No Disp Tan.
z Set the Isometric View display to:
Views-Disp Mode-View Display-No Hidden Line-Tan Dimmed.

Weldment Family

When the sheet metal part that has the same name as the weldment can be used in a
different weldment, A family table should be created in the assembly file. The new
weldment will be a different suffix from the original and its instance will be called out in
the drawing.
